2020 World Women's Snooker Championship
The 2022 World Women's Snooker Championship was a women's snooker tournament that took place at the Ding Junhui Snooker Academy in Sheffield, England from 11 to 14 February 2022. It was the first staging of the World Women's Snooker Championship since 2019 World Women's Snooker Championship, 2019, following an 18-month suspension of the World Women's Snooker Tour between March 2020 and August 2021, due to the COVID-19 pandemic. In addition to receiving the newly renamed Mandy Fisher Trophy, the winner of the tournament earned a place on the professional World Snooker Tour from the start of the 2022–23 snooker season. Reanne Evans was the defending champion, having defeated Nutcharut Wongharuthai 6–3 in the 2019 final to win her 12th women's world title. World Women's Snooker Championship
The World Women's Snooker Championship (formerly known as the Women's World Open Championship from 1976 to 1981 and the World Ladies Snooker Championship from 1983 to 2018) is the leading tournament on the World Women's Snooker Tour. The reigning champion is Nutcharut Wongharuthai. Beginning in 2022, the women's world champion will automatically receive a place on the main professional World Snooker Tour. If the tournament winner already has a place on the professional tour, the next highest ranked player will receive a place. Rebecca Kenna (' Granger; born 11 January 1989) is an English professional snooker player from Keighley. She competes on the World Women's Snooker Tour, through which she also earned a tour card for the professional World Snooker Tour. She was runner-up in the 2018 World Ladies Billiards Championship. Suzie Terry (formerly Suzie Opacic) is an English snooker player. She won the 2006 World Ladies Junior Championship and is an active player on the women's professional snooker circuit, who has reached the semi-finals of several ranking tournaments. Emma Parker (born 24 April 1999) is an English snooker player. She made her tournament debut at the 2015 Eden Masters, aged 15, and was number one in the women's under-21 world rankings as of April 2019. Her highest position in the senior rankings is sixth. Tessa Davidson (born 1969) is an English snooker player from Banbury, Oxfordshire. She won a number of ranking titles on the World Ladies Billiards and Snooker Association circuit.
