The 2020 United States House of Representatives elections in Ohio was held on November 3, 2020, to elect the 16 U.S. representatives from the state of Ohio, one from each of the state's 16 congressional districts. The elections coincided with the 2020 U.S. presidential election, as well as other elections to the House of Representatives, elections to the United States Senate and various state and local elections. Ohio's 5th Congressional District
Ohio's 5th congressional district is in northwestern and north central Ohio and borders Michigan and Indiana. The district is currently represented by Republican Bob Latta. The district borders have changed somewhat from the previous redistrict as some of the easternmost counties were redistricted to other districts. Steve Chabot
Steven Joseph Chabot ( ; born January 22, 1953) is an American politician and lawyer who has been the United States representative for since 2011. A member of the Republican Party, he previously represented the district from 1995 to 2009. In 2022, Chabot lost his reelection campaign to Democratic nominee Greg Landsman. Early life, education, and pre-political career Chabot was born in 1953 in Cincinnati, Ohio, the son of Gerard Joseph and Doris Leona (née Tilley) Chabot; paternally, he is of French-Canadian descent. He graduated from La Salle High School in Cincinnati in 1971, and then from the College of William and Mary in 1975, earning a Bachelor of Arts in physical education. He went on to obtain a Juris Doctor degree from Northern Kentucky University Salmon P. Chase College of Law in 1978. Ohio's 16th Congressional District
The 16th congressional district of Ohio is represented by Representative Anthony Gonzalez (R). It is located in the northeast of the state, covering Wayne County and with arms extending north into the suburbs of Cleveland, and east into Greater Akron and Stark County. Ohio's 15th Congressional District
The 15th congressional district of Ohio currently represented by Republican Mike Carey. It was represented by Republican Steve Stivers from 2011 until May 16, 2021, when he resigned to become president and CEO of the Ohio Chamber of Commerce. The district includes the southern portions of Columbus as well as communities west and south of the city. It also includes the college towns of Athens and Wilmington. From 2003 to 2013 Union County and Madison County were entirely within the district's boundaries as is approximately half of Franklin County. Ohio's 11th Congressional District
Ohio's 11th congressional district encompasses portions of Cuyahoga County in the Northeast part of the state—including most of the majority-black precincts in Cleveland. It has been represented by Shontel Brown since 2021. Ohio has had at least 11 congressional districts since the 1820 census. The district's current configuration dates from the 1990 census, when most of the old 21st District was combined with portions of the old 20th District to form the new 11th District.
