2020 U.S. Women's Open
The 2020 U.S. Women's Open was the 75th U.S. Women's Open, played December 10–14 at Champions Golf Club in Houston, Texas, having been postponed from its original date of June 4–7, 2020, on April 3, 2020 as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. It was played on both the Cypress Creek and Jackrabbit courses. The U.S. Women's Open is the oldest of the five current major championships and is the fourth of the 2020 season. It has the largest purse in women's golf at $5.5 million. Kim A-lim won the tournament by birdieing the last three holes. Brittany Lang (born August 22, 1985) is an American professional golfer who plays on the LPGA Tour. She has won one major championship, the 2016 U.S. Women's Open. Amateur career Born in Richmond, Virginia and raised in McKinney, Texas, Lang had a decorated amateur career. Yu Liu (born 15 November 1995) is a Chinese professional golfer and member of the LPGA Tour. Amateur career Liu was born in Beijing and had a successful junior career where she won several tournaments in the U.S. and China. She reached the semifinals of the U.S. Girls' Junior Championship in 2011, won by Ariya Jutanugarn. Amateur career Boutier won several international amateur events including the 2012 European Ladies Amateur Championship and the 2015 British Ladies Amateur.
