2020 Toronto Rock Season
The Toronto Rock are a lacrosse team based in Toronto playing in the National Lacrosse League (NLL). The 2020 season is the 23rd in franchise history, and 22nd as the Rock. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the season was suspended on March 12, 2020. On April 8, the league made a further public statement announcing the cancellation of the remaining games of the 2020 season and that they would be exploring options for playoffs once it was safe to resume play. On February 3, 2021, the NLL announced that plans for an abbreviated spring season were cancelled due to travel and logistics uncertainty, and that their focus will move toward playing a full 2021–22 NLL season. National Lacrosse League
The National Lacrosse League (NLL) is a men's professional box lacrosse league in North America. The league is headquartered in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The NLL currently has fifteen teams: ten in the United States and five in Canada. The NLL ranks third in average attendance for pro indoor sports worldwide, behind only the National Hockey League, NHL and National Basketball Association, NBA. Dan Dawson (born December 11, 1981) is a Canadian professional lacrosse player for the Toronto Rock of the National Lacrosse League, Brampton Excelsiors (MSL) of Major Series Lacrosse, and is currently a free agent in Major League Lacrosse. Dawson ranks 2nd on the all-time NLL points list through of the 2022 season. He is a 7 time NLL All Pro selection. National Lacrosse League Entry Draft
The National Lacrosse League entry draft is an annual event where the general managers of National Lacrosse League teams choose eligible players for their rosters from US college programs and Canada's junior lacrosse system. A player is deemed eligible for the draft if he is 21 years of age, or is less than 21 years of age and has used or given up all NCAA or NAIA eligibility. Blaine Manning
Blaine Manning (born September 10, 1979) is a Canadian former indoor lacrosse player for the Toronto Rock in the National Lacrosse League (NLL). During his tenure with the team, he won four NLL Championships (2002, 2003, 2005, 2011), most notably in 2011. Early life Manning was born in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, while his mother was on a weekend business trip. Growing up as the youngest of four boys in Sherwood Park, he competed on Team Albera's Under-19 field lacrosse team with two of his brothers; Blake and Blair. Paul Rabil
Paul Rabil (born December 14, 1985), is an American former professional lacrosse player and co-founder of the Premier Lacrosse League. He played for the Cannons Lacrosse Club and Atlas Lacrosse Club of the Premier Lacrosse League, as well as the Boston Cannons and the New York Lizards of Major League Lacrosse and the San Jose/Washington Stealth and Philadelphia Wings of the National Lacrosse League. Adam Jones (lacrosse)
Adam Jones (born July 31, 1989) is a professional Canadian lacrosse player who plays for the Toronto Rock in the National Lacrosse League. Jones is also a member of Owen Sound Northstars in the Ontario Senior B lacrosse league and the Langley Thunder in the Western Lacrosse Association (WLA). Johnny Powless
Johnny Powless (born March 15, 1993 in Six Nations, Ontario) is an Iroquois professional lacrosse player. Powless currently plays for the Toronto Rock of the National Lacrosse League and the Oakville Rock of Major Series Lacrosse. Powless won NLL Championships in each of his first three seasons, and has also won two Mann Cups with the Chiefs. Mitchell "Mitch" de Snoo (born October 22, 1992) is a professional lacrosse player for the Toronto Rock of the National Lacrosse League and the Oakville Rock of Major Series Lacrosse. Hailing from Oshawa, Ontario, de Snoo attended Monsignor Paul Dwyer Catholic High School, where he played four years of lacrosse and ice hockey. Tom Schreiber (born February 24, 1992), is an American professional lacrosse player with the Archers LC of the Premier Lacrosse League and the Toronto Rock of the National Lacrosse League. He attended St. Anthony's High School in South Huntington, New York, and played collegiate lacrosse at Princeton University.
