2020 Ladies European Tour
The 2020 Ladies European Tour was a series of golf tournaments for elite female golfers from around the world. The tournaments were sanctioned by the Ladies European Tour (LET). The season was affected by the COVID-19 pandemic with many tournaments either being postponed or cancelled. Among the cancellations was The Evian Championship, one of the LPGA Tour's five major championships. Schedule The table below shows part of the 2020 schedule. Emily Kristine Pedersen
Emily Kristine Pedersen (born 7 March 1996) is a Danish professional golfer who plays on the Ladies European Tour and LPGA Tour. She had a successful amateur career winning the 2013 International European Ladies Amateur Championship and the 2014 British Ladies Amateur Golf Championship. Turning professional in early 2015 she had a successful first season, finishing runner-up in the Deloitte Ladies Open and the Lacoste Ladies Open de France before winning the Hero Women's Indian Open. She was named LET Rookie of the Year for 2015. Pedersen earned her card for the 2022 LPGA Tour through qualifying school. She made only the second hole-in-one in Solheim Cup history in 2023 on the 12th hole in the afternoon four-ball on 22 September 2023. Alice Hewson
Alice Hewson (born 19 August 1997) is an English professional golfer. She won the 2019 European Ladies Amateur and joined the Ladies European Tour in 2020 to win in her first event, the Investec South African Women's Open. Amateur career Hewson hails from Berkhamsted, Hertfordshire. She started golf at the age of six with her Dad and played in her first tournament on her seventh birthday. She won the England U13 championships and was in the National U18 team at age 15. Her first GB&I cap came at age 15 in the Junior Vagliano Trophy and she played in three Vagliano Trophies. She also represented Great Britain & Ireland in the Curtis Cup in 2016 and 2018 and the Astor Trophy. The Jabra Ladies Open is a professional golf tournament, introduced on the Ladies European Tour schedule in 2018. The tournament is played at the Evian Resort Golf Club in France and has since 2014 served as European qualifying competition for the Evian Championship, the continental Europe women's major. The European Tour (currently known as the DP World Tour for sponsorship reasons), legally the PGA European Tour is the leading men's professional golf tour in Europe. The organisation also operates the European Senior Tour (for players aged fifty or older) and the developmental Challenge Tour; the second tier of men’s professional golf in Europe. The Scandinavian Masters is an annual golf tournament on the European Tour played in Sweden. In 2020 the tournament became co-sanctioned with the Ladies European Tour and rebranded as the Scandinavian Mixed, in which both male and female golfers compete.
