2020 Gran Piemonte
The 2020 Gran Piemonte was the 104th edition of the Gran Piemonte (known as ''Giro del Piemonte'' until 2009) single-day cycling race. It was held on 12 August, over a distance of 187 km, starting in Santo Stefano Belbo and ending in Barolo. 2020 UCI Europe Tour
The 2020 UCI Europe Tour is the sixteenth season of the UCI Europe Tour. The 2020 season began on 25 January 2020 with the GP Belek and ended on 14 October 2020 with the 2020 Scheldeprijs, Scheldeprijs. Throughout the season, points are awarded to the top finishers of stages within stage races and the final general classification standings of each of the stages races and one-day events. The quality and complexity of a race also determines how many points are awarded to the top finishers, the higher the UCI rating of a race, the more points are awarded. UCI ProSeries
The UCI ProSeries is the second tier men's elite road cycling tour. It was inaugurated in 2020. The series is placed below the UCI World Tour, but above the various regional UCI Continental Circuits. Development In December 2018, the UCI announced various reforms to the structure and organisation of men's professional road racing. One of the major changes is the introduction of a new division of races called the UCI ProSeries. With the introduction of the ProSeries, the UCI .HC road races will disappear from the calendar. In October 2019, the UCI published the 2020 UCI International Road Calendar, including the ProSeries. The inaugural season of the ProSeries was planned to include 57 events, which were formerly World Tour, .HC or .1 events, but many were cancelled due to the worldwide Covid 19 pandemic of 2020-21. Attila Valter (born 12 June 1998 in Csömör) is a Hungarian cyclist who currently rides for UCI WorldTeam . In 2019 Valter joined the , having ridden for the Pannon Cycling Team the previous year. Giulio Ciccone (born 20 December 1994) is an Italian cyclist, who currently rides for UCI WorldTeam . Career Bardiani–CSF (2016–18) Ciccone was named in the start list for the 2016 Giro d'Italia, where he won stage 10. At the 2018 Giro d'Italia, Ciccone finished second in the mountains classification, behind overall race winner Chris Froome. Simon Geschke (born 13 March 1986) is a German professional road cyclist, who currently rides for UCI WorldTeam . Biography He is the son of former track cyclist Jürgen Geschke. In the 2015 Tour de France, Geschke won a mountain stage as he was part of the breakaway and soloed across the line in Pra-Loup. In 2022 Geschke entered the Tour de France for the tenth time in his career. For the first time in his career he wore a classification jersey after getting involved in the breakaway on stage 9, and earning enough points to take the lead in the mountains classification. 2020 UCI ProSeries
The 2020 UCI ProSeries is the inaugural season of the UCI ProSeries, the second tier road bicycle racing, road cycling tour, below the UCI World Tour, but above the various regional UCI Continental Circuits. The 2020 season initially consisted of 58 events of which 31 are one-day races (1.Pro) and 27 are stage races (2.Pro). There are 50 events in Europe, 5 in Asia, and 3 in America.
