2020 FIA World Cup For Cross-Country Bajas
The 2020 FIA World Cup for Cross-Country Bajas is the second season of the reformed FIA World Cup for Cross-Country Bajas; an annual competition for baja-style rally raid events for cars, buggies, and side-by-sides held in multiple countries. Calendar The initial calendar for the 2020 world cup featured eight cross-country baja events. Some events on the schedule are shared with the 2020 FIM Bajas World Cup. Due to COVID-19 pandemic, the calendar suffered several changes. FIA World Cup For Cross-Country Bajas
The FIA World Cup for Cross-Country Bajas is a rally raid series organized by the FIA, culminating with a champion driver, co-driver, and team; with additional trophies awarded to T3 and T4 drivers & teams. Starting with the 2002 season, the previous FIA's International Cup for Cross-Country Bajas was joined with the FIA Cross-Country Rally World Cup to form the FIA World Cup for Cross-Country Rallies. From the beginning of the 2019 season the cup was once again split, with the World Cup for Cross Country Bajas being held alongside the competition for "baja" style rally raids. The Mini John Cooper Works Buggy is an off-road competition car, built by X-raid under the Mini marque. The car won the 2019 FIA World Cup for Cross-Country Rallies and the 2020 and 2021 Dakar Rallys. The German racing team X-raid has been using the car since 2018. Competition history X-raid participated in the 2018 Dakar Rally with two drivers in a new car Mikko Hirvonen and Dakar Rally newcomer Bryce Menzies. Hirvonen finished 19th when Menzies interrupted. Stéphane Peterhansel (born 6 August 1965 in Échenoz-la-Méline, Haute-Saône) is a rally racing, rally driver from France. He holds the record for wins at the Dakar Rally, with 14 victories.
