2020 FC Edmonton Season
The 2020 FC Edmonton season was the club's ninth competitive season as well as their second in the Canadian Premier League. In their previous season, FC Edmonton finished 3rd in the Spring season and 6th in the Fall season, failing to qualify for the finals. FC Edmonton celebrated their tenth anniversary by introducing home kits featuring the Roman numeral 'X' on the front and back. The club finished the COVID-19 shortened season in last place, failing to record a win in seven matches. FC Edmonton
FC Edmonton was a Canadian professional soccer club based in Edmonton, Alberta. The club was founded in 2010 and competed in the North American Soccer League (NASL) from 2011 to 2017. The club went on hiatus when NASL ceased competitive operations before the cancelled 2018 season. Sam Gardner (soccer)
Samuel Julian Gardner (born 4 April 1997) is a Canadian professional soccer player who plays as a centre-back for Alliance United. University career In 2015, Gardner began studying at Jacksonville University, an NCAA Division I school in the ASUN Conference, where he went on to make a total of 41 appearances, scoring three goals in three seasons for the Dolphins. HFX Wanderers FC
HFX Wanderers Football Club, commonly known as HFX Wanderers, and spoken as Halifax Wanderers, is a Canadian professional Association football, soccer club in Halifax, Nova Scotia. Duran Lee (born May 9, 1995) is a Canadian soccer player who plays for the Des Moines Menace in USL League Two. Early life Lee played basketball and soccer as a child, before deciding to pursue soccer as his main sport. He began playing youth soccer with Brampton YSC. Sociedad Deportiva Formentera is a football team based in Sant Francesc Xavier, Formentera in the Balearic Islands. The team plays in Segunda División RFEF – Group 3. North American Soccer League (2011–2017)
The North American Soccer League (NASL) was a professional men's soccer league based in the United States. The league was named for, but had no connection to, the original North American Soccer League. The later NASL was founded in 2009, and began play in 2011 with eight teams. From 2013 through 2017, the NASL used a split-season schedule running from April to early November, with a four-week break in July. The spring and fall champions, along with the two teams with best combined spring/fall records met in a four-team single-elimination tournament known as ''The Championship''.
