2020 Canadian Soccer League Season
The 2020 Canadian Soccer League season was the 23rd season under the Canadian Soccer League name. The season commenced on August 15, 2020, and concluded with the CSL Championship final on October 17, 2020. FC Vorkuta defeated the reigning champions Scarborough SC at Racco Park in Vaughan, Ontario, and secured their second championship. While Scarborough made their fourth consecutive appearance to the championship final and claimed their first divisional title. As the COVID-19 pandemic delayed the opening of the season the league ultimately released a modified shorten schedule which began in early August with the matches taking place within Toronto at Esther Shiner Stadium, and Centennial Park Stadium except for the championship final being moved to Racco Park at Concord/Thornhill Regional Park in Vaughan, Ontario. Canadian Soccer League
The Canadian Soccer League (CSL; french: Ligue canadienne de soccer — LCS) is a semi-professional league for Canadian soccer clubs primarily located in the province of Ontario, and claims the history of the Canadian National Soccer League (CNSL). It is a Non-FIFA international football, Non-FIFA league previously sanctioned by the Canadian Soccer Association (CSA), but now affiliated with the Soccer Federation of Canada (SFC). As of 2022 Canadian Soccer League season, 2022, it consists of six teams all located in Ontario. The season runs from May to October, with most games played on the weekend followed by a playoff format to determine the overall champion. Serhiy Anatoliyovych Melnyk ( uk, Сергій Анатолійович Мельник); born 4 September 1988 is a Ukrainian professional footballer playing with FC Vorkuta. Playing career He began his career in the Ukrainian Premier League in 2009-2010 with FC Chornomorets Odesa. He later spent time in the Ukrainian First League with FC Odesa, FC Nyva Vinnytsia, and PFC Sumy. In 2013, he played abroad in the Belarusian Premier League with FC Torpedo-BelAZ Zhodino. Mykola Temniuk
Mykola Temniuk (born March 31, 1992) is a Ukrainian footballer playing with Dynamo Toronto in the Canadian Soccer League. Playing career Europe Temniuk was a product of BVUFK Brovary, and later in 2012 played in the Ukrainian Amateur Football League with Vodnyk Lviv. In 2012, he played abroad in the III Liga with Stal Sanok. After a season abroad he returned to the Ukrainian Amateur Football League to play with FC Ahrobiznes Volochysk. During his tenure with Ahrobiznes, he assisted in securing promotion to the Ukrainian Second League in the 2016-17 season by winning the league title. Uroš Stamatović (Serbian Cyrillic: Урош Стаматовић; born November 9, 1976) is a Serbian retired professional footballer and coach. Serbian White Eagles Football Club ( sr, Фудбалски клуб Српски бели орлови / ''Fudbalski klub Srpski beli orlovi'') is a Canadian soccer team. The team is a member of the Canadian Soccer League, an unsanctioned soccer league. Zoran Rajović (Serbian Cyrillic: Зоран Рајовић; born 28 October 1979) is a Serbian retired professional footballer and coach.
