2019–20 Svenska Cupen
The 2019–20 Svenska Cupen was the 64th season of the Svenska Cupen and the eighth season with the current format. The eventual champions, IFK Göteborg, secured a place in the second qualifying round of the 2020–21 UEFA Europa League. A total of 96 clubs entered the competition, 64 teams from district sites and 32 from the Allsvenskan and the Superettan. The first rounds were played between 1 May and 6 June 2019. The first round draw was announced on 25 April 2019. Times up to October 2019 and from 31 March 2020 are CEST (UTC+2). Times from 28 October 2019 to 30 March 2020 are CET (UTC+1). The tournament was suspended before the quarterfinals due to the COVID-19 pandemic. IFK Göteborg
Idrottsföreningen Kamraterna Göteborg (officially IFK Göteborg Fotboll), commonly known as IFK Göteborg, IFK (especially locally) or simply Göteborg, is a Swedish professional football club based in Gothenburg. Swedish Football Division 3
Division 3 is the fifth level in the league system of Swedish football and comprises 144 Swedish football teams. Division 3 had status as the official third level from 1928 to 1986, but was replaced by Division 2 in 1987. It then had status as the official fourth level until 2005, but was replaced once again as Division 1 was recreated in 2006. The competition There are 144 clubs in Division 3, divided in 12 groups of 12 teams each representing a geographical area. During the course of a season (starting in April and ending in October) each club plays the others twice, once at their home stadium and once at that of their opponents, for a total of 22 games. The top team in each Division 3 group is promoted to Division 2 and the two lowest placed teams from each Division 2 league are relegated in their place. KF Velebit
KF Velebit is a Swedish football club located in Göteborg. Background Kroatiska Föreningen Velebit were founded in 1962, but were not formally registered until 15 January 1964 when the football section of the club started. Velebit is the name of the largest mountain range in Croatia and this title was chosen to symbolise stability, grandeur and strength. During their first season membership comprised mostly young men in their 20s, who came to Sweden as the first wave of labour migrants from Croatia. IK Franke is a Swedish sports club located in Västerås in Västmanland. Lunds BK is a football club from Lund, Sweden founded in 1919. The club currently plays in Division 1 Södra. Despite their relative success Lunds BK has never competed in the Allsvenskan or Superettan, but has played nine seasons in the second highest level. The club is well known for their youth football programme and has managed numerous players such as Martin Dahlin and Roger Ljung who have progressed to major clubs. History The team was first formed in 1919 when Lund GIF's youth players rebelled against their coach because they were not getting any playing time. Lindome GIF is a Swedish football club located in Lindome in Mölndal Municipality, Västra Götaland County. Background The club was formed on 31 January 1928 under the name Lindome IF through the merger of Lindome JUF, Anderstorps IF and Stationens IF.
