The 2019–20 Prince Mohammad bin Salman League was the 3rd season of the Prince Mohammad bin Salman League under its current name, and 43rd season of the Saudi First Division since its establishment in 1976. The season started on 20 August 2019 and concluded on 20 September 2020. Fixtures for the 2019–20 season were announced on 14 July 2019. Al-Batin won the title, with Al-Qadsiah and Al-Ain following in second and third respectively. On 7 March 2020, the Ministry of Sports announced that all matches would be played behind closed doors until further notice. On 14 March 2020, the Ministry suspended all sports competitions indefinitely due to the COVID-19 pandemic in Saudi Arabia. On 11 June 2020, the Ministry of Sports announced the resumption of sports activities with training starting on 21 June and games starting after 4 August 2020 and played behind closed doors. Prince Mohammad Bin Salman League
The First Division League (FDL for short), also called the Yelo league for sponsorship reasons, is the second tier of professional football in Saudi Arabia. The First Division League is ranked below the Saudi Professional League and above the Saudi Second Division in the Saudi Arabian football league system. All of the FDL clubs qualify for the King Cup, the annual Saudi Cup competition. Al-Hazem are the most recent champions, winning their second title during the 2020–21 season. Abha Club
Abha Football Club () is a professional Saudi Arabian association football club based in Abha that is currently playing in the Saudi Professional League, the highest tier of Saudi football. Their home stadium is Prince Sultan bin Abdul Aziz Stadium. They were first promoted to the top flight in 2005 when they finished as runners up in the First Division. However, they were relegated after just one season. They achieved their second promotion in 2008 when they also finished as runners up. 2014–15 Saudi First Division was the 38th season of Saudi First Division since its establishment in 1976. The season featured 11 teams from the 2013–14 campaign, two new teams relegated from the 2013–14 Professional League: Al-Ettifaq and Al-Nahda, and three new teams promoted from the 2013–14 Saudi Second Division: Al-Feiha as champions and group B winner, Al-Safa as runners-up and group A winner and Al-Mojzel as Third-place play-offs winner. Afif ( ar, عفيف ) is a city in central Saudi Arabia, in the Najd region. It is situated approximately halfway between Riyadh and Mecca. The modern town was established in the 1910s as a ''hijra'', or "settlement", for the nomadic tribes of the area, particularly the tribe of 'Utaybah (see Ikhwan).
