2019–20 Montenegrin Cup
The 2019–20 Montenegrin Cup was the 14th season of the knockout football tournament in Montenegro. The cup began on 28 August 2019, but wasn't finished due to the coronavirus pandemic. Budućnost were the defending champions from the previous season after defeating Lovćen in the final by the score of 4–0. First round Draw for the first round was held on 22 August 2019. Ten first round matches were played on 28 August 2019 and one was played on 25 September 2019. Summary Matches Second round Draw for the second round was held on 26 September 2019, Jedinstvo received a bye. After the draw, Petnjica withdrew from the competition. Twelve clubs competed in the second round which was played over two legs from 2 to 23 October 2019. Fudbalski Klub Budućnost Podgorica (Cyrillic: Будућност Подгорица, , lit. "Future") is a Montenegrin football club from Podgorica, Montenegro. It is competing in the Montenegrin First League. FK Arsenal is a Montenegrin professional football club based in the coastal town of Tivat, founded in 1914. Currently, the club is competing in the Montenegrin First League. Bye (sports)
In sport, a bye is the preferential status of a player or team that is automatically advanced to the next round of a tournament, without having to play an opponent in an early round. In knockout (elimination) tournaments they can be granted either to reward the highest ranked participant(s) or assigned randomly, to make a working bracket if the number of participants is not a power of two (e.g. 16 or 32). In round-robin tournaments, usually one competitor gets a bye in each round when there are an odd number of competitors, as it is impossible for all competitors to play in the same round. FK Petnjica
FK Petnijica is a Montenegrin football club based in the town of Petnjica. They currently compete in the Montenegrin Third League - North Region. History Football club Petnjica was founded on 29 June 1977, as a first sports' society in the Bihor region. During the same year, FK Petnjica became a member of the Montenegrin Fourth League - North. FK Jezero is a Montenegrin football club based in the town of Plav. Established at 1934, the club plays in the First League of Montenegro. FK Bokelj is a Montenegrin professional football club based in the coastal town of Kotor. They currently compete in the Montenegrin Second League. Fudbalski klub Drezga (English: Football Club Drezga) is a Montenegrin football club based in the village of Drezga in Piperi region of Podgorica. FK Komovi is a Montenegrin football club from Andrijevica. They currently compete in the Montenegrin Third League. History The club was founded in 1934, as FK Radnik.
