2019–20 Boston Celtics Season
The 2019–20 Boston Celtics season was the 74th season of the franchise in the National Basketball Association (NBA). This was the team's seventh season under head coach Brad Stevens. After losing Kyrie Irving and Al Horford to free agency, the Celtics signed former Charlotte Hornets All-Star Kemba Walker and former New York Knicks and Portland Trail Blazers center Enes Kanter in the offseason. The season was suspended by league officials following the games of March 11 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. On March 19, Marcus Smart announced that he tested positive for COVID-19. On June 4, the Celtics were one of 22 teams invited to the NBA Bubble. In the first round of the NBA playoffs, the Celtics defeated the No. 6 seeded Philadelphia 76ers in four games. Brad Stevens
Bradley Kent Stevens (born October 22, 1976) is an American basketball executive and former coach who is currently the president of basketball operations for the Boston Celtics. Born and raised in Zionsville, Indiana, Stevens starred on the Zionsville Community High School basketball team, setting four school records. After high school, he attended DePauw University, where he played basketball and earned a degree in economics. Stevens made the all-conference team multiple times and was a three-time Academic All-America nominee. He transitioned into coaching after quitting his job at Eli Lilly and Company, joining the basketball program at Butler University as a volunteer prior to the 2000–01 season. Stevens was promoted to a full-time assistant coach the following season. Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) is a contagious disease caused by a virus, the severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2). Tremont Waters
Tremont Waters (born January 10, 1998) is an American professional basketball player for the Metropolitans 92 of the LNB Pro A. He played college basketball for the LSU Tigers. Early life and high school career Waters played at South Kent School, a private all-boys school in Connecticut for three years. He transferred prior to his senior year to Notre Dame High School in West Haven, Connecticut. In 2015, he tried out for the Puerto Rico men's national basketball team's U-17 squad. The Purdue Boilermakers basketball team is a college basketball program that competes in NCAA Division I and is a member of the Big Ten Conference. Purdue basketball has the most Big Ten Championships with 24. Carsen Cade Edwards (born March 12, 1998) is an American professional basketball player for Fenerbahçe of the Turkish Basketbol Süper Ligi and the EuroLeague. He played college basketball for the Purdue Boilermakers, where he was twice named an All-American. Grant Dean Williams (born November 30, 1998) is an American professional basketball player for the Boston Celtics of the National Basketball Association (NBA). The Indiana Hoosiers men's basketball team represents Indiana University Bloomington in NCAA Division I college basketball and competes in the Big Ten Conference. Romeo James Langford (born October 25, 1999) is an American professional basketball player for the San Antonio Spurs of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He played college basketball for the Indiana Hoosiers. The 2019–20 Toronto Raptors season was the 25th season of the franchise in the National Basketball Association (NBA). The 2019 NBA Finals was the championship series of the National Basketball Association's (NBA) 2018–19 season and conclusion of the season's playoffs.
