2019–20 Baylor Lady Bears Basketball Team
The 2019–20 Baylor Lady Bears basketball team represented Baylor University in the 2019–20 NCAA Division I women's basketball season. Returning as head coach was Hall of Famer Kim Mulkey for her 20th season. The team played their home games at the Ferrell Center in Waco, Texas and were members of the Big 12 Conference. Previous season The Lady Bears finished the 2018–19 season ranked #1 in the nation, with a record of 37–1, 18–0 in Big 12 to win the Big 12 regular season title. They also won the Big 12 women's tournament and earned an automatic bid to the NCAA women's tournament, where they advanced to defeat Notre Dame in the championship game for the third title in team history. Kim Mulkey
Kimberly Duane Mulkey (born May 17, 1962) is an American college basketball player and coach. She is the head coach for Louisiana State University's women's basketball team. A Pan-American gold medalist in 1983 and Olympic gold medalist in 1984, she became the first person in NCAA women's basketball history to win a national championship as a player, assistant coach, and head coach. She won three NCAA championships as the coach of Baylor in 2005, 2012, and 2019. Mulkey was inducted into the Women's Basketball Hall of Fame in 2020 and was also inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame. Youth Kim Mulkey was one of the first girls in the US to play organized baseball with boys. After playing basketball at Nesom Junior High School in Tickfaw, Louisiana, she led her Hammond High School basketball team to four consecutive state championships. Cactus Shadows High School
Cactus Shadows High School is a public high school located in Cave Creek, Arizona. It is the only high school in the Cave Creek Unified School District. In 1974 the first committee met in Cave Creek to form a high school. In the fall of 1982, the doors opened to the first campus located at 60th Street with grades 7-9. (This campus is currently Black Mountain Elementary School.) The first graduating class was in 1986. In January 1995, Cactus Shadows High School opened in its current location at 5802 E. Dove Valley Rd. In the summer of 1999, the second phase of building the campus was completed. In 2006 six classrooms were occupied at the former Black Mountain Elementary School, now called Cactus Shadows East Campus. Cave Creek is a town in Maricopa County, Arizona, United States. It is part of the Phoenix metropolitan area. As of the 2020 census, the population of the town was 4,892. Flower Mound is an incorporated town located in Denton and Tarrant counties in the U.S. state of Texas. Located northwest of Dallas and northeast of Fort Worth adjacent to Grapevine Lake, the town derives its name from a prominent mound located in the center of town. Destrehan is a census-designated place (CDP) in St. Charles Parish, Louisiana, United States. At the 2020 census, its population was 11,340. Etymology The community is named after Jean Noël Destréhan (1754–1823), who was twice President of the Orleans Territory's legislative council during his service there in 1806 and 1811.
