2019 Women's PGA Championship
The 2019 Women's PGA Championship (branded as the 2019 KPMG Women's PGA Championship for sponsorship reasons) was the 65th Women's PGA Championship, played June 20–23 at Hazeltine National Golf Club in Chaska, Minnesota. It was the third of five major championships on the LPGA Tour during the 2019 season. Australian Hannah Green won by one stroke over defending champion Park Sung-hyun, in her first victory in both a women's major and the LPGA Tour. It was the first wire-to-wire win at the Women's PGA Championship since Yani Tseng in 2011 and the first major win by an Australian since Karrie Webb at the 2006 Kraft Nabisco Championship. Chaska is a city and the county seat of Carver County, Minnesota, United States. An outer ring suburb of the Twin Cities, Chaska is home to the Hazeltine National Golf Club and is known for its historic downtown area located on a bend of the Minnesota River. 2011 LPGA Championship
The 2011 LPGA Championship was the 57th LPGA Championship, held June 23–26 at Locust Hill Country Club in Pittsford, New York, a suburb southeast of Rochester. Known for sponsorship reasons as the Wegmans LPGA Championship, it was the second of four major championships on the LPGA Tour during the 2011 season. This was the second of four consecutive years the LPGA Championship was played at Locust Hill. The champion was Yani Tseng, age 22, with a 269 (−19) to win by ten strokes over Morgan Pressel. Chun In-gee ( ko, 전인지, born 10 August 1994), also known as In Gee Chun, is a South Korean professional golfer. She was born in Gunsan, North Jeolla Province. She is a three-time major champion, having won the 2015 U.S. Women's Open, the 2016 Evian Championship with a score of 21 under par, which is the lowest winning score in a major tournament for either men or women, and the 2022 Women's PGA Championship. LPGA Major Championship
Women's golf has a set of major championships which parallels that in men's golf, with the women's system newer and less stable than the men's. As of 2013, five tournaments are designated as majors in women's golf by the LPGA Tour. LPGA majors Current position The LPGA's list of majors has changed several times over the years. Suzann Pettersen
Suzann Pettersen (born 7 April 1981) is a retired Norwegian professional golfer. She played mainly on the U.S.-based LPGA Tour, and was also a member of the Ladies European Tour. Her career best world ranking was second and she held that position several times, most recently from August 2011 until February 2012. Juli Inkster (born Juli Simpson; June 24, 1960) is an American professional golfer who plays on the LPGA Tour. Cristie Kerr (born October 12, 1977) is an American professional golfer who plays on the LPGA Tour. She has 20 wins on the LPGA Tour, including two major championships, and over $19 million in career earnings. Danielle Grace Kang (born October 20, 1992) is an American professional golfer currently playing on the LPGA Tour. As an amateur, she won the U.S. Women's Amateur twice, in 2010 and 2011. She was the first player from China to become a member of the LPGA Tour, which she joined in 2008.
