2019 Suzhou Ladies Open
The 2019 Suzhou Ladies Open was a professional tennis tournament played on outdoor hard courts. It was the eighth edition of the tournament which was part of the 2019 ITF Women's World Tennis Tour. Hardcourt
A hardcourt (or hard court) is a surface or floor on which a sport is played, most usually in reference to tennis courts. It is typically made of rigid materials such as asphalt or concrete, and covered with acrylic resins to seal the surface and mark the playing lines, while providing some cushioning. Historically, hardwood surfaces were also in use in indoor settings, similar to an indoor basketball court, but these surfaces are rare now. Tennis Tennis hard courts are made of synthetic/acrylic layers on top of a concrete or asphalt foundation and can vary in color. These courts tend to play medium-fast to fast because there is little energy absorption by the court, as with grass courts but unlike clay courts. Rosalie van der Hoek (born 16 December 1994) is a Dutch tennis player. Van der Hoek, who prefers clay courts, has a career-high doubles ranking of world No. 83, achieved on 18 October 2021. Ankita Raina
Ankita Ravinderkrishan Raina (born 11 January 1993) is an Indian professional tennis player. Since 2013, she has regularly been the Indian number one in both singles and doubles. Raina has won one title on the WTA Tour and one at WTA 125 tournaments (both in doubles), along with 11 singles and 24 doubles titles on the ITF Circuit. In April 2018, she entered the top 200 singles rankings for the first time, becoming only the fifth player representing India to achieve this feat. Emily Webley-Smith (born 14 July 1984) is a British professional tennis player. She has a career-high WTA singles ranking of No. 240, achieved on 7 November 2011. She also has a best WTA doubles ranking of No. 113, set on 2 November 2015. Webley-Smith has won four singles titles and 26 doubles titles on the ITF Circuit. Clara Tauson
Clara Tauson (born 21 December 2002) is a Danish professional tennis player. In 2016, at age 13, she became the youngest Danish champion in tennis. Caroline Wozniacki held the previous record when she won at age 14. Her career-high rankings are world No. 33 in singles and No. 432 in doubles reached February 2022. Sun Ziyue (; ; born 6 July 1996 in Nanjing) is a Chinese tennis player. Sun has won two doubles titles on the ITF Women's Circuit, ITF Circuit. Peangtarn "Earth" Plipuech ( th, เพียงธาร ผลิพืช; born 15 November 1992) is a Thai tennis player. Plipuech has a career-high singles ranking by the Women's Tennis Association (WTA) of 175, achieved on 31 July 2017. On 10 October 2016, she peaked at No. 100 in the WTA doubles rankings. She has won two doubles titles on the WTA Challenger Tour, along with six singles and 29 doubles titles on the ITF Women's Circuit.
