2019 Speedway Grand Prix Of Poland II
The 2019 Betard Wrocław FIM Speedway Grand Prix of Poland was the fifth race of the 2019 Speedway Grand Prix season. It took place on August 3rd at the Olympic Stadium in Wrocław, Poland. Riders Second reserve Max Fricke replaced Greg Hancock. The Speedway Grand Prix Commission nominated Makym Drabik as the wild card, and Przemysław Liszka and Mateusz Cierniak both as Track Reserves. Results The Grand Prix was won by Bartosz Zmarzlik, who beat Martin Vaculík, Leon Madsen and Janusz Kołodziej in the final. Emil Sayfutdinov had initially topped the scoring charts along with Kołodziej, however he was eliminated in the semi-finals. It was the fifth Grand Prix win of Zmarzlik's career. Zmarzlik's win resulted in him moving joint-top of the overall standings, tied on 61 points with Sayfutdinov and Madsen. Niels Kristian Trochmann Iversen (, born 20 June 1982 in Esbjerg, Denmark) is an international motorcycle speedway rider. He was part of the Danish teams that won the Speedway World Cup in 2006, 2008, 2012 and 2014. Early life Niels-Kristian Trochmann was born 20 June 1982 in Esbjerg, Denmark to Ann Marie and Flemming Iversen. Growing up with older brother Soren, Iversen decided he want to be a speedway rider. Matej Žagar (born 3 April 1983 in Ljubljana, Slovenia) is a Slovenian motorcycle speedway rider who was won two Individual Speedway European Champion titles in 2004 and 2008. Maksym Drabik (born 22 February 1998) is an international speedway rider from Poland. Speedway career Drabik won the gold medal at the World Under-21 Championship in the 2017 Individual Speedway Junior World Championship and the 2019 Individual Speedway Junior World Championship. Jan Fredrik Tobias (Freddie) Lindgren (born 15 September 1985) is a Swedish motorcycle speedway rider. He has twice won the bronze medal at the Speedway World Championship and won the world team championships in 2015. Career Born in Örebro, Sweden. Lindgren's father Tommy was a speedway rider before him, and his younger brother Ludvig also rides. Lindgren first appeared for Wolverhampton Wolves during the 2003 season as the team struggled with injuries. Jason Kevin Doyle (born 6 October 1985) is an Australian motorcycle speedway rider. He became World Champion in 2017. He won the 2015 Australian Solo Championship.
