2019 Papua New Guinea National Soccer League
The 2019 Papua New Guinea National Soccer League, known for sponsorship reasons as the Kumul Petroleum Holdings Limited National Soccer League, was the 13th edition of Papua New Guinea National Soccer League, the top-tier football league in Papua New Guinea. It started on 26 January 2019. Toti City F.C. were the defending champions. The title was won by Toti City, who picked up their fifth title after defeating eight-time champions Hekari United in the final on penalties. Format A brand new format for the competition was announced on 19 November 2018, with the league being split into the four regions of the country: Northern ( Momase), Southern ( Papua), Highlands and Islands. Each league ran simultaneously, and the top two teams from each conference will qualify for the playoffs. The KPHL National Soccer League, also known as the Kumul Petroleum Holdings Limited National Soccer League for sponsorship reasons, is the men's top division of professional soccer in Papua New Guinea. It is a nationwide league formed in 2006 by Papua New Guinea Football Association. It replaced the Papua New Guinea National Club Championship as the country's major soccer competition. In its 13 seasons, the competition has been won by only two clubs: Hekari United won the first eight editions, while Lae City have won the last six. Star Mountain FC is a professional football club based in Tabubil, in the Star Mountains area of the North Fly District of Papua New Guinea. The club was founded sometime before 1999. With the 1999 North Fly District championship their only title to date, the club entered the 2019 edition of the Papua New Guinea National Soccer League, where they were drawn into the Southern Conference. 2009–10 OFC Champions League
The 2009–10 OFC Champions League, also known as the 2010 O-League for short, was the 9th edition of the Oceanian Club Championship, Oceania's premier club football tournament organized by the Oceania Football Confederation (OFC), and the 4th season under the current OFC Champions League name. It was contested by eight teams from seven countries. The teams were split into two four-team pools, the winner of each pool contesting the title of O-League Champion and the right to represent the OFC at the 2010 FIFA Club World Cup. Tusbab Stallions
Tusbab Stallions are a professional football club established in 2019 and based in Madang, Papua New Guinea. The club most debuted in the 2019–20 Papua New Guinea National Soccer League. History The club was established in 2019 as successor of an amateur club dating back to 2004 of the same name, which itself was founded after a merge between two separate Madang-based clubs, Tusbab and Blue Kumuls. The amateur side had won the Madang Soccer Association Grand Final in 2018, prior to their move to semi-professional status. On 11 January 2019, the side was confirmed as one of the sides entered into the 2019 National Soccer League, and had been drawn into the Northern Conference. Papua New Guinea National Club Championship
The Papua New Guinea National Club Championship is the top amateur division of association football in Papua New Guinea. It is a nationwide league and was probably founded in 1976. The league was the highest level of football administered by the Papua New Guinea Football Association (PNGFA) until the introduction of the semi-professional National Soccer League in 2006. Thereafter, there were two seasons which ran alongside the semi-professional league, in 2006 and 2008, before the league became defunct after the 2008 edition. In June 2019, the PNGFA announced that the league was to be revived. The OFC Champions League, also known as the O-League, is the premier men's club soccer competition in Oceania. It is organised by the OFC, Oceania's football governing body.
