2019 PSL Invitational Conference
The 2019 PSL Invitational Cup was the fourth conference and third indoor volleyball tournament of the Philippine Super Liga's 2019 PSL season, seventh season. The tournament commenced on September 23, 2019 at the Strike Gymnasium in Bacoor, Cavite with opening ceremonies held on September 28, 2019 at Ynares Sports Arena in Pasig. Petron Blaze Spikers
The Petron Blaze Spikers were a professional women's volleyball team that played in the Philippine Super Liga (PSL) from 2013 to 2020. After the cancellation of the 2020 season of the PSL due to the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, the team took a leave of absence from the league and released all its players. The team was owned by Petron Corporation. The company's involvement in volleyball began in 2002 when it established the Petron Ladies Beach Volleyball Tournament. Team history Petron became the first team to sweep a PSL tournament with a 13–0 record and claim the 2015 All-Filipino championship, its second consecutive PSL title. At their stint in the 2015 Asian Women's Club Volleyball Championship in Ha Nam, Vietnam, the team finished at 8th place with only one game won out of six matches played. Generika Lifesavers
The Generika Ayala Lifesavers are a professional women's volleyball team owned by Actimed, Inc. (Generika Drugstore) in partnership with Ayala Corporation. History Generika Drugstore first became involved in the Philippine Superliga (PSL) when it sponsored the Philippine Army Lady Troopers during the 2014 All-Filipino Conference, playing as the "Generika-Army Lady Troopers". For the following conference, the company formed its own team composed of the coaching staff and most of the players from the disbanded AirAsia Flying Spikers. The franchise did not participate during the 2015 season and remnants of the team went on to form the nucleus of the Shopinas.com Lady Clickers. The company reactivated its PSL participation during the 2016 All-Filipino Conference with a new lineup. Since 2017, the team was renamed "Generika Ayala Lifesavers" with the entry of Ayala Corporation as the team's co-sponsor. Dawn Macandili
Dawn Nicole Lirio Macandili-Catindig (born June 1, 1996) is a Filipino volleyball athlete. She is a member of the Philippines women's national volleyball team. She played in the UAAP for the De La Salle University Lady Spikers for 5 seasons (76-80), and is currently playing in the Premier Volleyball League for the F2 Logistics Cargo Movers. Personal life Macandili is a graduate of AB Psychology at De La Salle University. On March 2023, she married her boyfriend, Diego Catindig. Career Macandili was the first libero in the Philippines to receive a Most Valuable Player award when she won the award in the 2016 Philippine Super Liga All-Filipino Conference. She is also a member of the Philippine National Women's Volleyball Team that played in the 2017 Asian Women's Volleyball Championship, where in she was hailed as the 2nd Best Libero.
