2019 Laguna Local Elections
Local elections was held in the Province of Laguna on May 13, 2019 as part of the 2019 Philippine general election. Voters selected candidates for all local positions: a town mayor, vice mayor and town council, as well as members of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan, the vice-governor, governor and representatives for the four districts of Laguna, including Biñan lone district and the newly created Calamba lone district. Ramil Laurel Hernandez (born July 26, 1972) is a Filipino politician from Calamba, Laguna, Calamba City, Laguna (province), Laguna. He currently serves as the Governor of Laguna since 2014. He previously served as Sangguniang Kabataan, Sanguniang Kabataan Chairman of Barangay Mabato in Calamba, Laguna, a councilor of Calamba, a Laguna Provincial Board, board member, and Vice Governor of Laguna. The Euro Generals Scandal involves Eliseo de la Paz and several Philippine National Police (PNP) officials who went to Russia in October 2008 to attend an Interpol conference. De la Paz was detained for carrying a large sum of undeclared money. Bay () (), officially the Municipality of Bay ( tgl, Bayan ng Bay), is a 2nd class municipality in the province of Laguna, Philippines.
