The 2019 La Tropicale Amissa Bongo was a road cycling stage race that took place in Gabon and Equatorial Guinea between 21 and 27 January 2019. The race was rated as a 2.1 event as part of the 2019 UCI Africa Tour, and was the 14th edition of the race. Teams Fifteen teams started the race. 2019 UCI Africa Tour
The 2018 UCI Africa Tour was the 15th season of the UCI Africa Tour. The season began on 26 October 2018 with the Tour du Faso and ended on 20 October 2019. The points leader, based on the cumulative results of previous races, wears the UCI Africa Tour cycling jersey. Throughout the season, points are awarded to the top finishers of stages within stage races and the final general classification standings of each of the stages races and one-day events. The quality and complexity of a race also determines how many points are awarded to the top finishers: the higher the UCI rating of a race, the more points are awarded. Henok Mulubrhan (born 11 November 1999 in Asmara) is an Eritrean cyclist, who currently rides for UCI WorldTeam . Career Originally from Asmara, Henok started cycling with mountain biking. He entered his first competitions in 2014. In 2016, he represented his country at the UCI World Junior Championships in Doha. During the 2018 season, he placed in the top 10 on four stages of the La Tropicale Amissa Bongo. Libreville

Oyem
Oyem is the capital of Woleu-Ntem province in northern Gabon, lying on the N2 road and the River Ntem. Geography The town lies on a plateau at an elevation of about . It is the administrative and transport center for the surrounding agricultural area. Oyem is located 411 kilometers away from the national capital, Libreville.
