2019 IIHF Challenge Cup Of Asia
The 2019 IIHF Challenge Cup of Asia was the 12th edition of the IIHF Challenge Cup of Asia, an annual international ice hockey tournament held by the International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF). The tournament took place from 1 to 9 March 2019 at Empire City Mall#Ice rink, Malaysia National Ice Skating Stadium in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Oman Men's National Ice Hockey Team
The Omani national ice hockey team ( ar, منتخب عمان لهوكي الجليد), nicknamed '' The Khanjars'' ( ar, الخنجر ''Al-Khanajar''), is the national ice hockey team of Oman. They are controlled by the Oman Ice Sports Committee and has been an associate member of the International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF). Oman is currently not ranked in the IIHF World Ranking and have not entered in any World Championship tournaments or at any Olympic Games, but have played in the Challenge Cup of Asia, a regional tournament for lower-tier hockey nations in Asia. History Oman played its first game in 2010 during the inaugural Gulf Ice Hockey Championship. Bryan Lee (ice Hockey)
Bryan Lee (March 16, 1943 – August 21, 2020) was an American blues guitarist and singer based in New Orleans, Louisiana. He was also known by the nickname 'Braille Blues Daddy' and was a fixture on Bourbon Street since the 1980s. History Lee was born on March 16, 1943, in Two Rivers, Wisconsin, Two Rivers, Wisconsin, United States, and completely lost his eyesight by the age of eight. His avid interest in early rock and blues was fostered through the 1950s by late night listening sessions via the Nashville-based radio station WLAC-AM, where he first encountered the sounds of Elmore James, Albert King and Albert Collins. 2018 IIHF Challenge Cup Of Asia – Division I
The 2018 IIHF Challenge Cup of Asia Division I was the 5th IIHF Challenge Cup of Asia Division I competition, an annual international ice hockey tournament held by the International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF). The Division I competition took place from 24 to 29 March 2018 at the Malaysia National Ice Skating Stadium in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Four teams competed in the tournament. Originally, six teams were scheduled to compete. However, Oman and Qatar were scheduled to compete, but cancelled. Indonesia made its debut in the Challenge Cup of Asia. The host nation Malaysia won its first Division I tournament, winning all five of its games, defeating Macau in the final and promoted to Top Division for the 2019 IIHF Challenge Cup of Asia. The Malaysian national ice hockey team ( ms, Pasukan hoki ais kebangsaan Malaysia) is the national men's ice hockey team of Malaysia. The team is controlled by the Malaysia Ice Hockey Federation and has been an associate member of the International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF) since 28 September 2006. Ice hockey was part of the 2017 SEA Games held in Kuala Lumpur. The IIHF announced that Malaysia will make its World Championship debut in 2020.
