2019 IAAF World Indoor Tour
The 2019 IAAF World Indoor Tour was the fourth edition of the IAAF World Indoor Tour, the highest series of international track and field indoor meetings. It was designed to create an IAAF Diamond League-style circuit for indoor track and field events, to raise the profile of indoor track and field athletics. The Tour retains six events for 2019, five in Europe and one in the United States. All six 2018 meetings returned, although the order of the meetings has been rearranged from 2018, and the Birmingham Indoor Grand Prix has returned from Glasgow to Birmingham as part of a long term deal, having hosted the 2018 IAAF World Indoor Championships. Glasgow, in turn, will host the 2019 European Athletics Indoor Championships at the end of the indoor season, from 1–3 March 2019. The 2018 IAAF World Indoor Tour was the third edition of the IAAF World Indoor Tour, the highest series of international track and field indoor meetings. It was designed to create an IAAF Diamond League-style circuit for indoor track and field events, to raise the profile of indoor track and field athletics. The Tour had six events for 2018, five in Europe and one in the United States, leading to the 2018 IAAF World Indoor Championships in Birmingham, United Kingdom. Winners of the Tour enjoyed similar privileges in relation to World Indoor Championships qualification as Diamond League winners do in relation to World Championships in Athletics. This was the first edition of the tour that featured the Madrid Indoor Meeting. Jarret Eaton
Jarret Eaton (born June 24, 1989) is an American track and field athlete, known for running hurdles. He won the silver medal in the 60 metre hurdles at the 2018 World Indoor Championships while being coached by Lawrence Terry, and took a bronze in 2022. Eaton was the 2016 and 2018 American champion in the 60 metre hurdles. That qualified him to run in the 2016 World Indoor Championships in Portland, where he finished fourth. He returned to the 2018 World Championships in Birmingham, taking the silver medal, after leading the race until hitting the final hurdle, behind Britain's Andrew Pozzi and ahead of France's Aurel Manga. While running for Syracuse University, he was the 2012 NCAA Indoor Champion in the same event. Yomif Kejelcha Atomsa (born 1 August 1997) is an Ethiopian distance runner. He won a silver medal in the men’s 10,000 metres at the 2019 World Athletics Championships in Doha, Qatar. On 3 March 2019, Kejelcha broke the indoor mile world record with a time of 3:47.01. Donavan Brazier (born April 15, 1997) is an American middle-distance runner. He holds the American junior record and American record in men's 800 meters and won the gold medal at the 2019 World Championships. PSD Bank Meeting
The PSD Bank Meeting was an annual indoor track and field competition which took place in February at the Arena-Sportpark in Düsseldorf, Germany. The inaugural edition ''1. Internationales Indoor Meeting Düsseldorf'' was held in 2006 and attracted a sell-out crowd of 1500 people. The competition was created following investment by the Düsseldorf municipal council, bringing a new usage to the venue which had served as a training facility for the 1977 IAAF World Cup. The second edition of the competition attracted a number of high calibre athletes from Europe, Africa, Asia and North America, with David Gillick's Irish national record in the 400 metres being a highlight.
