2019 Hlinka Gretzky Cup
The 2019 Hlinka Gretzky Cup was an under-18 international ice hockey tournament that was held in Piešťany, Slovakia and Břeclav, Czech Republic from 5 to 10 August 2019 at Alcaplast Arena in Břeclav and Easton Arena in Piešťany. Team Russia won the gold medal for the first time since 1995 with a 3–2 defeat against Canada in the final. Preliminary round ''All times are Central European Summer Time (UTC+2).'' Group A Group B Final round Semifinal playoff bracket The semi-finals were decided on 7 August, 2019 after Group A and B completed three round-robin games each. Cole Perfetti
Cole Perfetti (born January 1, 2002) is a Canadian professional ice hockey centre for the Winnipeg Jets of the National Hockey League (NHL). He was selected tenth overall by the Jets in the 2020 NHL Entry Draft. Growing up in Whitby, Ontario, Perfetti spent his minor hockey career with the Whitby Wildcats. As a teenager, he enrolled at The Hill Academy while also playing for the Vaughan Kings of the Greater Toronto Hockey League. In the year prior to his Ontario Hockey League (OHL) eligibility, Perfetti led them in scoring with a total of 52 goals and 73 assists for 125 points. As a result of his play, Perfetti was recruited to join the University of Michigan's men's ice hockey team but ultimately chose to join the Saginaw Spirit of the OHL.
