2019 Formula 4 UAE Championship
The 2019 Formula 4 UAE Championship was the third season of the Formula 4 UAE Championship, a motor racing series for the United Arab Emirates regulated according to FIA Formula 4 regulations, and organised and promoted by the Automobile & Touring Club of the UAE (ATCUAE) and AUH Motorsports. It began on 9 January 2019 at the Dubai Autodrome and finished on 2 March 2019 at the same location. Teams and drivers Race calendar Championship standings Points are awarded to the top 10 classified finishers in each race. Matteo Nannini
Matteo Nannini (born 10 July 2003) is an Italian- Argentine racing driver who currently competes in Indy NXT for Juncos Hollinger Racing. His father is a first cousin of former Formula One driver Alessandro Nannini and of singer Gianna Nannini. Racing career Karting Nannini started karting at the age of 6 where he would go on to win a number of karting championships. In 2015 Nannini joined Fernando Alonso's karting team, and this is where Nannini won his second competition at Trofeo dei Campioni in Italy. Formula 4 After competing in other lower formulas, Nannini had the most success in the 2019 Formula 4 UAE Championship where he won 7 races and won the title by 48 points over Joshua Dürksen. Nico Göhler
Nico Göhler (born 22 May 2003) is a German racing driver who last competed in the 2021 Formula Regional European Championship, driving for KIC Motorsport. Career Lower formulae Born in Helmstedt, Göhler started his career in 2019 in the Formula 4 UAE Championship for Mücke Motorsport under an Emirati licence alongside Joshua Dürksen. His first podium came in the final race of the first event at the Dubai Autodrome with a third-place finish. He scored two more podiums, both in Dubai, and finished sixth in the standings, four positions behind teammate Dürksen. Following that the German signed for ADAC Berlin-Brandenburg to drive in the ADAC Formula 4 Championship, reuniting him with Dürksen. Göhler scored nine points throughout the season and came in 18th in the championship. He also raced for Mücke Motorsport in two rounds of the Italian F4 Championship. Yas Marina Circuit
The Yas Marina Circuit (Arabic: حلبة مرسى ياس) is the venue for the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix. The circuit was designed by Hermann Tilke, and is situated on Yas Island, near Abu Dhabi, the capital of the United Arab Emirates. Yas Marina was the second of four Formula One tracks in the Middle East, with the first being in Bahrain and subsequent tracks in Qatar and Saudi Arabia. A two-day GP2 Asia Series test was held to officially open the circuit, which was held a week before the 2009 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix. Dubai 24 Hour
The Dubai 24 Hour Race is both a sports car and touring car automobile endurance race held annually at the Dubai Autodrome. It was inaugurated in 2006. Entrants and participants As with all races in the 24H Series, promoted by Dutch promoter Creventic, they are open to both professional and semi-professional teams. There are both local competitors from the UAE and surrounding nations in the Persian Gulf as well as a host of international teams particularly from European nations. Unlike the 24 Hours of Le Mans in France whereby teams are invited by the organizers to compete, the Dubai 24 Hour is solely made up of teams who have registered prior to the commencing of the actual race. Joshua Dürksen (born 27 October 2003) is a Paraguayan-German racing driver currently racing for Arden Motorsport in the Formula Regional European Championship. Career Formula 4 2019 In 2019 Dürksen made his single-seater debut, racing for Mücke Motorsport in the Formula 4 UAE Championship alongside Nico Göhler. Niklas Krütten (born 20 October 2002) is a German racing driver who currently competes in the European Le Mans Series driving an Oreca 07 LMP2 for Cool Racing as well as in the ADAC GT Masters driving a BMW M4 GT3 for Schubert Motorsport.
