2019 Evian Championship
The 2019 Evian Championship was played 25–28 July at the Evian Resort Golf Club in Évian-les-Bains, France. It was the 26th Evian Championship (the first 20 played as the Evian Masters), and the seventh as a major championship on the LPGA Tour. The event was televised by Golf Channel and NBC Sports in the United States and Sky Sports in the United Kingdom. Ko Jin-young won her second major of the year by two strokes over Shanshan Feng and Kim Hyo-joo. Earlier in the year, she won the 2019 ANA Inspiration. Field The field for the tournament was set at 120, and most earned exemptions based on past performance on the Ladies European Tour, the LPGA Tour, or with a high ranking in the Women's World Golf Rankings. Évian-les-Bains (), or simply Évian ( frp, Èvian, , or ), is a Communes of France, commune in the northern part of the Haute-Savoie Departments of France, department in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes Regions of France, region, Southeastern France. Kim Hyo-joo
Kim Hyo-joo (; ; born 14 July 1995), also known as Hyo Joo Kim, is a South Korean professional golfer who plays on the LPGA of Korea Tour. She won the 2014 Evian Championship while setting the record for lowest 18-hole score at a major with a 61 in the first round. The 2014 Evian Championship was her first major appearance. Marina Alex
Marina Alex (born August 2, 1990) is an American professional golfer. Early life and education Raised in Wayne, New Jersey, Alex played interscholastic golf at Wayne Hills High School, where she won individual state titles in 2007 and 2008. Alex played college golf at Vanderbilt University. She won one tournament, the 2010 SEC Championship. She qualified for the 2009 U.S. Women's Open as an amateur but missed the cut. Ahn Shi-hyun, or Shi Hyun Ahn (; 15 September 1984) is a South Korean professional golfer. Pro golf career Ahn turned professional in 2002 and that year she topped the order of merit on the Apache Dream Tour (the KLPGA's developmental tour) after winning three times. In 2003, she won the CJ Nine Bridges Classic, an LPGA Tour sanctioned event in her home country. At 19 years, 1 month and 18 days she was the youngest non-American winner in the tour's history. Daniela Iacobelli (born November 27, 1987) is an American professional golfer who has played on the Epson Tour and LPGA Tour. Early life and education Iacobelli was born in Detroit, Michigan. Symetra Tour
The Epson Tour, previously known as the LPGA Futures Tour, and known for sponsorship reasons between 2006 and 2010 as the Duramed Futures Tour and between 2012 and 2021 as the Symetra Tour, is the official developmental golf tour of the LPGA Tour. Tour membership is open to professional women golfers and to qualified amateurs. History The Futures Tour was founded in Florida in 1981 as the "Tampa Bay Mini Tour". Pauline Roussin-Bouchard (born 5 July 2000) is a French professional golfer. She was number one in the World Amateur Golf Ranking for 34 weeks in 2020. Annabel Dimmock (born 5 October 1996) is an English professional golfer and Ladies European Tour player. She won the 2019 Jabra Ladies Open. Amateur career Dimmock had a successful amateur career. Albane Valenzuela (born 17 December 1997) is a Swiss professional golfer and a two-time Olympian. She was born in New York City to a Mexican father and French mother.
