2019 Copa Perú
The 2019 Peru Cup season ( es, Copa Perú 2019), the largest amateur tournament of Peruvian football, started in February. This edition has featured a change, with the elimination of the Regional Stage and the inclusion of participants from all the Regions of Peru in the National Stage. Under the new format, the tournament has four stages. The first three stages are played as mini-league round-robin tournaments, and the fourth stage is played under POT System intellectual property of the MatchVision company. The 2019 Peru Cup started with the District Stage ( es, Etapa Distrital) in February. The next stage was the Provincial Stage ( es, Etapa Provincial) which started in June. Copa Perú
The Copa Perú is a football tournament in Peru. Despite its name, it is not entirely an elimination-cup competition involving all Peruvian clubs, but rather a series of league tournaments leading to an elimination tournament, with regional league clubs as participants. It guarantees its winner promotion to the professional Liga 2. History In 1966, the First Division was named '' Descentralizado''; teams from outside the capital of Lima were allowed to participate in the professional first division. The following year, the Copa Perú began, in which all non-professional teams in Peru were allowed to compete, with the winner to gain promotion to the First Division. After playing many elimination rounds, once six teams were left in the competition, they played in a final round-robin tournament in Lima. Ancash Region
Ancash ( qu, Anqash; es, Áncash ) is a department and region in northern Peru. It is bordered by the departments of La Libertad on the north, Huánuco and Pasco on the east, Lima on the south, and the Pacific Ocean on the west. Mollendo
Mollendo is a town bordering the Pacific Ocean in southern Peru. It is located in the Arequipa Region and is the capital of both the Islay Province and the Mollendo District. Mollendo was the main port in the Peruvian southern coast until Matarani was developed about 50 years ago; the port of Mollendo only serves fishermen for the local economy currently and all the commercial shipping is done through Matarani 12 kilometers north; the old port is in ruins. From about 1830 to 1880 it was important in the Guano trade. The railroad used to run a passenger train daily, but a good highway connects Mollendo to the Panamerican Highway now and the train now only runs the summer express that goes down from Arequipa on Saturday and returns on Sunday; the beach is the main attraction, even though it is visited by the Humboldt Current that brings cold water from Antarctica. Nacional FBC (sometimes referred as Nacional) is a Peruvian football club, playing in the city of Mollendo, Islay, Arequipa, Peru. History The Club Deportivo Mariscal Miller was founded on April 18, 1923. Despite being a historic club, they have only won the 1946, 2019 and 2022 Liga Distrital de Mollendo. Majes District
Majes District is one of twenty districts of the Caylloma Province of the Department of Arequipa in Peru. It is located some 55 miles (90 km) west of Arequipa, and about 50 miles (80 km) north of Camaná. Its capital is El Pedregal. History The district was created on December 20, 1999 under the government of Alberto Fujimori, with its designated capital being El Pedregal. Surrounding areas were incorporated into the district on its creation. The area was relatively barren up until 1981, when an irrigation program was carried out. With the increase of fertile land, the population also grew substantially. The valley is noted for its agricultural tradition and somewhat isolated location, being located two hours away from Arequipa. Arequipa Region
Arequipa ( ay, Ariqipa; qu, Ariqipa) is a department and region in southwestern Peru. Chimbote
Chimbote ; qu, Chimputi) is the largest city in the Ancash Region of Peru, and the capital of both Santa Province and Chimbote District.
