Challenge Tour
The Challenge Tour is the second-tier men's professional golf tour in Europe. It is operated by the PGA European Tour and, as with on the main European Tour and the European Senior Tour, some of the events are played outside Europe. History The tour was introduced in 1986 and was initially called the ''Satellite Tour''. The Order of Merit was introduced in 1989, with the top five players on it winning membership of the European Tour for the following season. The following year the tour was renamed the Challenge Tour. Up to 1993 the Challenge Tour rankings were based on each player's best several results, but since 1994 it has been a straightforward money list, with all results counting. Players who are successful on the Challenge Tour qualify for membership of the European Tour the following year. Twenty players earn direct promotion to the European Tour. Sebastián García Rodríguez (born 4 March 1989) is a Spanish professional golfer who plays on the European Tour. Career García enjoyed a successful 2019, beginning the year with two victories on the Alps Tour and ending it as a Challenge Tour graduate as he finished 15th on the Road to Mallorca Rankings to earn a maiden card for the European Tour. His best finishes on the Challenge Tour were runner-ups at the Challenge de España and the Open de Portugal. On the 2020 European Tour, he led the Hero Open in England at the halfway point. Cazoo Classic
The English Open was a professional golf tournament held in England. First played in 1988, it was an annual event on the European Tour until 2002. After several aborted attempts at reviving the tournament, it returned to the tour schedule in 2021, when it was titled as the Cazoo Classic. Winners of the tournament include some of the most successful players in European Tour history including Mark James, Ian Woosnam, Colin Montgomerie, Lee Westwood and Darren Clarke. James and Clarke are the only two players to have won the title more than once. Betfred British Masters
The Betfred British Masters is a professional golf tournament. It was founded in 1946 as the Dunlop Masters and was held every year up to 2008, except for 1984. Dunlop's sponsorship ended in 1982, and the name sponsor changed frequently thereafter, with the words "British Masters" usually also in the tournament's official name. The tournament was not held from 2009 to 2014 but returned to the schedule in 2015. History The Dunlop Masters was first held in 1946 at Stoneham Golf Club in Southampton, and was a continuation of the Dunlop-Metropolitan Tournament which had been held before World War II. Guido Migliozzi
Guido Migliozzi (born 25 January 1997) is an Italian professional golfer. He has three wins on the European Tour. He also competed at the 2020 Summer Olympics. Professional career Migliozzi turned professional in 2016. In 2017 and 2018 he played mostly on the Challenge Tour and the Alps Tour. He had little success on the Challenge Tour but won three times on the Alps Tour, once in 2017 and twice in 2018, as well as losing the 2018 Alps de Las Castillas in a three-man playoff. Darren Fichardt
Darren Clive Fichardt (born 13 May 1975) is a South African professional golfer who plays on both the European and Sunshine Tours. Early life Fichardt was born in Pretoria and grew up in Centurion, Gauteng. He attended Sutherland High School from 1988 to 1993, where his talent for golf was nurtured. Professional career Fichardt turned professional in 1994 and he won the Southern Africa Tour (now the Sunshine Tour) Order of Merit in 1999/2000 and 2003/04. He partnered Retief Goosen in South Africa's WGC-World Cup team in 2000. Fichardt has played on the European Tour since 2001 and has won four European Tour events. Gaganjeet Singh Bhullar (born 27 April 1988) is an Indian professional golfer who plays on the European Tour. He was awarded Arjuna Award in 2013. Amateur career Bhullar was born to Sikh parents in Kapurthala, India. He was India's number one amateur in 2004 and 2006 and was part of the Indian team that won the silver medal at the 2006 Asian Games. He finished in a tie for seventh in the individual competition. The Qatar Masters was a European Tour golf tournament held at Doha Golf Club in Doha, Qatar. Collegiate career After growing up in Pinner England and going to Aldenham School, Wallace attended Jacksonville State University, in Northeast Alabama, as a freshman in the 2010–11 season before turning professional. Andrew Michael Sullivan (born 19 May 1987) is an English professional golfer who currently plays on the European Tour. Amateur career Sullivan had a successful amateur career before turning professional. He won the individual title in the Tailhade Cup in Argentina in 2010, and won the 2011 New South Wales Medal in Australia. Michaël Lorenzo-Vera (born 28 January 1985) is a French professional golfer. Career Lorenzo-Vera was born in Bayonne, Pyrénées-Atlantiques in South-West France. After turning professional in 2005, Lorenzo-Vera played on the Alps Tour, one of Europe's third tier development tours.
