2019 Canad Inns Women's Classic
The 2019 Canad Inns Women's Classic was held from October 17 to 20 at the Portage Curling Club in Portage la Prairie, Manitoba as part of the World Curling Tour. The event was held in a triple-knockout format with a purse of $60,000. In the final, Elena Stern of Switzerland defeated Rachel Homan of Ottawa, Ontario by stealing one in an extra end to claim the title. Portage La Prairie
Portage la Prairie () is a small city in the Central Plains Region of Manitoba, Canada. As of 2016, the population was 13,304 and the land area of the city was . Portage la Prairie is approximately west of Winnipeg, along the Trans-Canada Highway (exactly halfway between the provincial boundaries of Saskatchewan and Ontario). Mallory Kean
Mallory Kean (née Buist) is a Canadian curler from Woodstock, Ontario. She currently plays second for the Chrissy Cadorin rink on the World Curling Tour. Career Kean began curling at age 7 at the Glendale Golf and Country Club in Hamilton, Ontario. As a junior career, Kean made it to the finals of the Ontario Bantam championship in 2004 (losing to Rachel Homan) and played in the 2004 Ontario Winter Games. After juniors, Kean joined the Alison Goring rink, throwing second rocks for the 2011-12 season. She then joined the Brit O'Neill rink for the 2012-13 season, playing third, then the Ashley Waye for the 2013-14 season and then the Lisa Farnell rink for the 2014-15 season, playing third again. Christina "Chrissy" Cadorin (born October 19, 1980) is a Canadian curler from Thornhill, Ontario. She currently plays third on Team Cathy Auld. Career Cadorin was born in North York, Ontario. As a junior curler, Cadorin won two Junior Mixed junior mixed titles, in 1999 playing lead on a team skipped by John Morris and in 2001 playing third on a team skipped by Sean St. Amand. In university, Cadorin was a member of the Laurier Golden Hawks curling team. In 2006, Cadorin joined Team Jenn Hanna, playing third on the team. Chaelynn Kitz (born March 10, 1997) is a Canadian curler from Oxbow, Saskatchewan. She currently plays second on Team Robyn Silvernagle. Career Kitz represented Saskatchewan at back-to-back Canadian Mixed Doubles Curling Championships with her boyfriend Brayden Stewart in 2018 and 2019. Sherry Anderson (born January 6, 1964) is a Canadian curler from Delisle, Saskatchewan. She is a two-time winner of the World Senior Curling Championships for Canada. Career Anderson has been to ten Scotties Tournament of Hearts, six as a skip. She qualified for her first Hearts by winning the 1994 Saskatchewan women's championship, defeating Leanne Whitrow in the final, 7–4. Career Juniors Oliver skipped teams at both the 2014 and 2015 Manitoba Junior Curling Championships going 4–3 in both years, and losing in a tiebreaker in 2015. In 2015, Oliver joined the Abby Ackland junior rink, playing lead on the team.
