The 2019 Beijing Sinobo Guoan F.C. season is the team's 16th consecutive season in the Chinese Super League since the league's founding in the 2004, and 29th consecutive season in the top flight of Chinese football. They compete in the 2019 Chinese Super League, Chinese Super League, 2019 Chinese FA Cup, Chinese FA Cup, 2019 Chinese FA Super Cup, Chinese FA Super Cup and 2019 AFC Champions League, AFC Champions League. They qualified for the AFC Champions League for the first time since the 2015 season, but failed to advance from the group stage. The team qualified for next year's 2020 AFC Champions League, AFC Champions League by securing at least a 2nd place finish in the Chinese Super League on November 26, 2019 after a 4-1 away victory against Guangzhou R&F F.C., Guangzhou R&F. Hou Sen (; born 30 June 1989) is a Chinese professional footballer who currently plays as a goalkeeper for Chinese Super League club Beijing Guoan. Club career Hou started his football career in 2009 when he was promoted to Beijing Guoan's first team squad. He played as a back-up goalkeeper for Yang Zhi and Zhang Sipeng. He became the first-choice goalkeeper of Beijing Guoan in the beginning of 2012 season as Yang Zhi injured in the 2012 Guangdong–Hong Kong Cup. Liu Huan (; born 14 February 1989) is a Chinese professional footballer who plays as a defender for Chinese Super League club Nantong Zhiyun. Club career Liu Huan started his professional football career in 2009 when he was promoted to China League One side Anhui Jiufang.
