2017 Asia-Oceania Floorball Cup
The 2017 Men's Asia-Oceania Floorball Cup was a continental floorball tournament held in Bangkok, Thailand from 1–6 July 2017. It was held at the Chanatrayingyong Gymnasium of the Chulalongkorn University. Eight national floorball teams participated in the tournament. This tournament is the inaugural edition of the Asia-Oceania Floorball Cup (AOFC) organized by the Asia Oceania Floorball Confederation. It succeeds the Asia Pacific Floorball Championships. Thailand became the first champions of the AOFC beating Singapore in the final. Both teams were undefeated before the final. Floorball is a type of floor hockey with five players and a goalkeeper in each team. Men and women play indoors with sticks and a plastic ball with holes. Matches are played in three twenty-minute periods. The sport of bandy also played a role in the game's development. The game was invented in Sweden in the late 1960s. Alonte Sports Arena
The Alonte Sports Arena is an indoor arena in Biñan, Laguna, Philippines with the capacity of 6,500 people. It serves as the home to the Laguna Heroes of Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League and has hosted games of the Philippine Basketball Association and the Philippine Super Liga. It also serves as an evacuation center of the city. It is located adjacent to the Biñan Football Field and the Biñan City Hall.
