2018–19 Torneo Federal A
The 2018–19 Argentine Torneo Federal A, is the 6th season of the third tier of the Argentine football league system. The tournament is reserved for teams indirectly affiliated to the Asociación del Fútbol Argentino (AFA), while teams affiliated to AFA have to play the Primera B Metropolitana, which is the other third tier competition. The champion is promoted to Primera B Nacional. 36 teams are competing in the league, 29 returning from the 2017–18 season, 3 teams that were relegated from Primera B Nacional and 4 teams promoted from Federal B. The regular season began on September 8, 2018 and will end in June 2019. Format First stage The teams were divided into four zones with nine teams (a total of 36 teams) in each zone and it was played in a round-robin tournament whereby each team played each one of the other teams two times. Torneo Federal A
The Torneo Federal A (in English "Federal A Tournament") is one of the two professional leagues that form the regionalised third level of the Argentine football league system, along with Primera B Metropolitana. The competition was established in 2014 as a result of a change in the structure of the league system, replacing Torneo Argentino A. Federal A is organised by "Consejo Federal", a division of the Argentine Football Association. Clubs in Federal A have indirect membership in AFA unlike clubs in Primera B, which have direct membership. All teams with indirect membership are from outside the city of Buenos Aires (playing in regional leagues) and its metropolitan area (Greater Buenos Aires), while most of the direct members are from the aforementioned area. Primera B Nacional
Primera Nacional (usually called simply Nacional B, in English "National B Division", and known as Primera B Nacional until the 2019–20 season) is the second division of the Argentine football league system. The competition is made up of 37 teams. It is played by teams from all over the country. Clubs from Buenos Aires surroundings, as well as some from Santa Fe Province, are promoted from or relegated to the Primera B Metropolitana ("Metropolitan B Division") while for teams from the other provinces the Torneo Federal A ("Federal A Tournament") is the next level down. Club Cipolletti
Club Cipolletti is an Argentine sports club, located in the homonymous district of Río Negro Province. The football team currently plays in Torneo Federal A, the regionalised third division of Argentine football league system. Cipoletti was relegated from Torneo Argentino A at the end of the 2005–06 season, due to the poor performance in the Clausura and its inability to beat General Paz Juniors in the relegation playoff.
