2018–19 Prince Mohammad Bin Salman League
The 2018–19 Prince Mohammad bin Salman League was the 2nd season of the Prince Mohammad bin Salman League under its current name, and 42nd season of the Saudi First Division since its establishment in 1976. The season started on 28 August 2018 and concluded on 15 May 2019. Fixtures for the 2018–19 season were announced on 25 July 2018. The first team to be promoted was Abha, following their 2–2 draw away to Al-Nojoom on 30 April 2019. Despite losing to Al-Qaisumah, Abha were crowned champions on 11 May 2019 following Damac's 1–1 draw with Al-Ain. The second team to be promoted was Damac, in spite of their 1–0 defeat away to Al-Tai, on 5 May 2019. The third and final team to be promoted was Al-Adalah, who were promoted on the final matchday following their 2–0 win at home against Damac on 15 May 2019. Prince Mohammad Bin Salman League
The First Division League (FDL for short), also called the Yelo league for sponsorship reasons, is the second tier of professional football in Saudi Arabia. The First Division League is ranked below the Saudi Professional League and above the Saudi Second Division in the Saudi Arabian football league system. All of the FDL clubs qualify for the King Cup, the annual Saudi Cup competition. Al-Hazem are the most recent champions, winning their second title during the 2020–21 season. Overview First Division rebranding On 19 September 2017, the General Sports Authority announced a rebrand; beginning with the 2017–18 season, the competition was known as the Prince Faisal bin Fahd League. As part of the rebranding, a new logo was introduced. On 9 February 2018, the General Sports Authority once again announced a rebrand; starting from the current season, the competition will be known as the Prince Mohammad bin Salman League. The RAKAA Professional League is the First Division in Saudi Arabia. 2014–15 Saudi First Division
2014–15 Saudi First Division was the 38th season of Saudi First Division since its establishment in 1976. The season featured 11 teams from the 2013–14 campaign, two new teams relegated from the 2013–14 Professional League: Al-Ettifaq and Al-Nahda, and three new teams promoted from the 2013–14 Saudi Second Division: Al-Feiha as champions and group B winner, Al-Safa as runners-up and group A winner and Al-Mojzel as Third-place play-offs winner. Al-Jeel Club () is a Saudi Arabian football club based in Hofuf, Al-Hasa. Founded in 1976, the club competes in the MS League , the second tier of Saudi football. Al-Jeel play their home games at the Prince Abdullah bin Jalawi Stadium in Al-Hasa. Al-Jeel have finished as runners-up in the Saudi Second Division twice in 1986 and 2010. Ohod Club
Ohod Club () is a Saudi Arabian professional football club based in Medina, which competes in the First Division League, the second tier of Saudi football. Ohod was named after Mount Uhud, hence the nickname "Al-Jabal". Ohod have won the Saudi First Division three times and have finished runners-up five times. They play their home games at the Prince Mohammed bin Abdul Aziz Stadium. Al Raed Saudi Football Club ( ''Nādī ar-Rāʾid'', "Pioneer Club") is a Saudi football club based in Buraidah, and the first of its kind in the Qassim region of Saudi Arabia. One of the club's notable founders is Abdulaziz Al-Aboudi. Established in 1954, Al Raed have played in the Saudi Pro League, the top division of Saudi football, since 2008. The 2017–18 Saudi Professional League (also known formerly as a Jameel League for sponsorship reasons), was the 42nd season of the Saudi Professional League, the top Saudi professional league for association football clubs, since its establishment in 1976. The season started on 10 August 2017 and concluded on 12 April 2018. Al-Hilal were the defending champions after winning the Pro League last season for the 14th time. Al-Fayha and Ohod have entered as the promoted teams from the 2016–17 Saudi First Division. Al-Hilal were crowned as league winners for the second season in a row on the 12 April, after defeating Al-Fateh 4–1 on the final day of the season. Mohammed bin Salman Al Saud ( ar, محمد بن سلمان آل سعود, translit=Muḥammad bin Salmān Āl Su‘ūd; born 31 August 1985), colloquially known by his initials MBS or MbS, is Crown Prince and Prime Minister of Saudi Arabia. He also serves as the chairman of the Council of Economic and Development Affairs and chairman of the Council of Political and Security Affairs. He is considered the ''de facto'' ruler of Saudi Arabia, being deemed as such even before his appointment as prime minister in 2022. He served as minister of defense from 2015 to 2022.
