2018–19 Loyola Greyhounds Men's Basketball Team
The 2018–19 Loyola Greyhounds men's basketball team represented Loyola University Maryland during the 2018–19 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Greyhounds, led by first-year head coach Tavaras Hardy, played their home games at Reitz Arena in Baltimore, Maryland as members of the Patriot League. They finished the season 11–21, 7–11 in Patriot League play to finish in a tie for seventh place. As the No. 9 seed in the Patriot League tournament, they lost Boston University in the first round. Previous season The Greyhounds finished the 2017–18 season 9–22, 6–12 in Patriot League play to finish in a tie for eighth place. Tavaras Hardy
Tavaras Hardy is an American college basketball coach, and current head coach of the Loyola Greyhounds men's basketball team. Playing career Hardy was a two-time All-Big Ten Conference, Big Ten selection while playing at Northwestern Wildcats men's basketball, Northwestern from 1998 to 2002 and ranks in the top 10 in blocks, games played, and games started for the Wildcats. After graduation, Hardy played one season of professional basketball for Namika Lahti in Finland before returning to the United States to work in wealth management at JPMorgan Chase. Coaching career In 2007, Hardy returned to his alma mater to become an assistant coach under Bill Carmody, where he rose to the position of associate head coach in 2011. West Chester Golden Rams
The West Chester Golden Rams represent West Chester University of Pennsylvania, which is located in West Chester, Pennsylvania, in intercollegiate sports. They compete in the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) in NCAA Division II. The university currently fields 23 varsity Division II men's and women's teams.
