2018–19 Baylor Bears Basketball Team
The 2018–19 Baylor Bears basketball team represented Baylor University in the 2018–19 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. This was head coach Scott Drew's 16th season at Baylor. The Bears competed in the Big 12 Conference and played their home games at the Ferrell Center in Waco, Texas, Waco, TX. They finished the season 20-14, 10-8 to finish in 4th place. They lost in the quarterfinals of the Big 12 tournament to 2018–19 Iowa State Cyclones men's basketball team, Iowa State. Scott Drew
Scott Homer Drew (born October 23, 1970) is an American college basketball coach who is the head coach of the Baylor Bears, a position he has held since 2003. Drew began his coaching career as an assistant for Valparaiso under his father Homer Drew. Following his father's retirement in 2002, Drew would serve as the head coach of Valparaiso for one season before being hired by Baylor in 2003. Drew took over Baylor as a program in ruins, following decades of poor performance and a public scandal that resulted in numerous NCAA sanctions. Following an unsuccessful first 4 seasons while rebuilding the team, Drew turned Baylor from a program with only one NCAA tournament appearance since 1950 into a perennial tournament contender appearing in 10 of 13 tournaments since 2008. Nuni Omot
Anunwa "Nuni" Omot (born October 3, 1994) is a South Sudanese professional basketball player for the Westchester Knicks of the NBA G League. He played college basketball for the Baylor Bears after two years at Concordia University and Indian Hills Community College. Early life and high school Omot was born in a refugee camp in Nairobi, Kenya to Pillow and Kwot Omot. His parents and brother Aba lived in the camp for three years, following a dangerous 440-mile journey from Gambela, Ethiopia to the Kenyan border in escape from an ongoing civil war. Manu Lecomte
Emmanuel Lecomte (born 16 August 1995) is a Belgian basketball player for Hapoel Eilat of the Israeli Basketball Premier League. He played college basketball for the Baylor Bears and Miami Hurricanes and for the Belgian national team. Career College He played two years at Miami, before transferring to Baylor. Tyson Jolly
Tyson Malik Jolly (born August 10, 1997) is an American professional basketball player who is currently a free agent. He played college basketball for the Iona Gaels of the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC). He previously played for the Baylor Bears, the Trinity Valley CC Cardinals, and the SMU Mustangs. High school career Jolly attended Putnam City West High School in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
