AaB Football
AaB, (full name: ''Aalborg Boldspilklub'', ) internationally referred to as Aalborg BK, or sometimes also known as AaB Aalborg, is a professional football team located in Aalborg. The club is represented in the Danish Superliga and has won four Danish football Championships and three Danish Cup trophies. Most recently the team won the double in 2014. AaB was founded on 13 May 1885 by English engineers who were building Jutland's railway system, and the first years was concentrated on the game of cricket. It was initially named Aalborg Cricketklub (Aalborg Cricket club) but the name of the club was changed to Aalborg Boldklub (Aalborg ballclub) in 1899. Football was adopted on an amateur basis in 1902, and has since been the main sport, as the name was changed to the current Aalborg Boldspilklub af 1885 (Aalborg ballgameclub of 1885) in 1906. Thomas Augustinussen
Thomas Augustinussen (born March 20, 1981) is a retired Danish professional footballer. He began his career as a striker, but moved gradually into the holding midfielder position. He made his senior debut with AaB, with whom he played 420 games and won the 2008 and 2014 Danish Superliga championship. He retired in the Summer of 2016 and became assistant coach in AaB. He has been capped twice for the Denmark national football team. Club career Augustinussen started his career with AaB. Due to his height of 192 cm and good speed, Augustinussen played his first years as a striker. He made his Danish Superliga debut for AaB in April 2000. He was a successful striker in his youth years, but had difficulty finding his goalscoring form as a senior. Rasmus Würtz
Rasmus Østergaard Würtz (born 18 September 1983) is a Danish former professional footballer who played as a midfielder. He won the 2008–09 Danish Superliga with F.C. Copenhagen. He played 12 matches for the Denmark national team from 2005 to 2007, as well as 52 matches for various youth national teams. Würtz was named 2001 Danish ''Under-19 Player of the Year''. He retired after the 2018–19 season. With 452 matches played he is the most capped player in the history of the Danish Superliga. Oliver Abildgaard
Oliver Abildgaard Nielsen (born 10 June 1996) is a Danish professional footballer who plays as a defensive midfielder for Italian Serie A club Hellas Verona, on loan from the Russian club Rubin Kazan. Club career AaB Abildgaard was promoted to AaB's first team squad in the summer of 2015 along with Jannik Pohl from the AaB U19 squad. On 20 July 2015, he made his first team-debut against Esbjerg at the age of 19. Kristoffer Pallesen
Kristoffer Pallesen (born 30 April 1990) is a Danish retired professional footballer who played as a right back. Career Early career Pallesen played as a youth player for AGF, but never broke through to the first team. He therefore moved to another Aarhus club IK Skovbakken, where he played until Hobro IK signed him in February 2011, following his coach Jakob Michelsen. Initially, he received a six-month contract with Hobro, but the agreement was soon extended by another year, which meant that it ran until June 2013. Tetchi Jores Charlemagne Ulrich Okore (; born 11 August 1992), known as Jores Okore, is a Danish professional footballer who plays as a centre-back for Changchun Yatai. Jakob Blåbjerg Mathiasen (born 11 January 1995) is a Danish former professional footballer who played as a defender. Youth career Blåbjerg joined AaB as a U14 player from Vejgaard BK. Club career AaB In September 2012, Blåbjerg signed his first full-time contract and was to be promoted to the first team squad from the summer 2013. Jakob Ahlmann Nielsen
Jakob Ahlmann Nielsen (born 18 January 1991) is a Danish professional footballer who plays as a left-back for AaB in the Danish Superliga. He has played three matches for the Denmark national football team. Club career Early career Ahlmann started playing football in the youth of Brønderslev IF. As a 13-year-old, he was discovered by AaB and joined the club's youth department. In 2006, two years after his transfer to AaB, however, he moved to FC Midtjylland, to play for their youth academy. Patrick Kristensen
Patrick Kristensen (born 28 April 1987 in Silkeborg) is a Danish retired footballer. Career Kristensen got the honour of scoring AaB's goal number 1000 in the Superliga, on 25 October 2009 in a match against Brøndby IF. Jacob Karl Anders Rinne (born 20 June 1993) is a Swedish professional footballer who plays as a goalkeeper for Saudi Arabian club Al-Fateh and the Sweden national team. Aalborg Stadium (Danish: Aalborg Stadion; currently known as Aalborg Portland Park for sponsorship reasons) is a football stadium located in Aalborg, Denmark. It is the home ground of AaB. Thomas Bælum
Thomas Bælum (born 5 June 1978) is a Danish former professional footballer who played as a defender. He is currently chief executive and caretaking sports director for AaB. Bælum has played 18 games for the Danish national U21 team. Career Born in Aalborg, Bælum made his debut in professional football with local club Aalborg Boldspilklub (AaB) in the 1996–97 Superliga season.
