2018 Trofeo Laigueglia
The 2018 Trofeo Laigueglia was a one-day road bicycle racing, road cycling race that took place on 11 February 2018 in and around Laigueglia, Italy. It was the 55th edition of the Trofeo Laigueglia and was rated as a 1.HC event as part of the 2018 UCI Europe Tour. The race was won by Moreno Moser, riding for an Italian Cycling Federation, Italian national team select, accelerating 100 metres from the summit of the climb through the hilltop village of Colla Micheri to open a decisive gap. Second place went to Paolo Totò for the team, ahead of 's Matteo Busato. Teams Twenty-two teams were invited to take part in the race. These included one UCI WorldTeam, thirteen UCI Professional Continental teams, seven UCI Continental teams and an Italian national team. The 2018 UCI Europe Tour was the fourteenth season of the UCI Europe Tour. The 2018 season began on 25 January 2018 with the Vuelta a Mallorca, Trofeo Porreres, Felanitx, Ses Salines, Campos and ended on 16 October 2018 with the Nationale Sluitingsprijs. French rider Nacer Bouhanni (), who scored 1,124 points in the 2017 UCI Europe Tour, 2017 edition, is the defending champion from the 2017 UCI Europe Tour. Throughout the season, points are awarded to the top finishers of stages within stage races and the final general classification standings of each of the stages races and one-day events. Ben Hermans (born 8 June 1986) is a Belgian professional road racing cyclist, who currently rides for UCI WorldTeam . Career Hermans was born in Hasselt, Flanders, and he turned professional in 2009 with . Hermans left at the end of the 2013 season, and joined the for the 2014 season. Kasper Asgreen (born 8 February 1995) is a Danish cyclist, who currently rides for UCI WorldTeam . Asgreen won the 2021 edition of the Tour of Flanders by defeating Mathieu van der Poel in a sprint finish. Early life Asgreen was born in Kolding in the south of Denmark. He competed in dressage up to the age of 14, before joining Kolding Cycling Club. Career Asgreen signed for Danish Continental cycling team in 2016. In 2012, Gavazzi participated in the Tour of Beijing and won its queen stage leading to the Great Wall of China. Team Waoo
Team Waoo was a Danish UCI Continental team founded in 2012, and disbanded in 2019. In July 2016 Bjarne Riis and former Saxo Bank CEO Lars Seier announced that they had taken the team over and renamed it Team Virtu Pro-Veloconcept, with the intention of it functioning as the development team for a planned UCI WorldTeam. On 11 September 2017 the team changed its name into Team Virtu Cycling, after a new owner, Jan Bech Andersen, had bought one third of the shares. In July 2018, the name changed again to Team Waoo.
