2018 Tour Of The Alps
The 2018 Tour of the Alps was a road bicycle racing, road cycling stage race that took place in Austria and Italy between 16 and 20 April 2018. It was the 42nd edition of the renamed Tour of the Alps, Giro del Trentino and was rated as a 2.HC event as part of the 2018 UCI Europe Tour. The race was won by Thibaut Pinot of . Route The race itinerary was announced in November 2017, including a final-day finish on the route of the men's road race for the 2018 UCI Road World Championships, to be held the following September in Innsbruck. Teams On 25 January 2018, the race's twenty competing teams – up from eighteen in 2017 Tour of the Alps, 2017 – were announced at the 2017–18 FIS Nordic Combined World Cup event in Seefeld in Tirol, Austria. 2018 UCI Europe Tour
The 2018 UCI Europe Tour was the fourteenth season of the UCI Europe Tour. The 2018 season began on 25 January 2018 with the Vuelta a Mallorca, Trofeo Porreres, Felanitx, Ses Salines, Campos and ended on 16 October 2018 with the Nationale Sluitingsprijs. French rider Nacer Bouhanni (), who scored 1,124 points in the 2017 UCI Europe Tour, 2017 edition, is the defending champion from the 2017 UCI Europe Tour. Luis León Sánchez Gil (born 24 November 1983) is a Spanish road bicycle racer, who currently rides for UCI WorldTeam . Sánchez's major achievements include winning the overall classifications of the 2009 Paris–Nice and the 2005 Tour Down Under, as well as the one-day race Clásica de San Sebastián in 2010 and 2012. He also has four Tour de France stage victories and is a four-time winner of the Spanish National Time Trial Championships. Lienz (; Southern Bavarian: ''Lianz'') is a medieval town in the Austrian state of Tyrol. It is the administrative centre of the Lienz district, which covers all of East Tyrol.
