Reno 1868 FC
Reno 1868 FC was an American professional soccer team based in Reno, Nevada. Founded in 2015, the team made its debut in the USL Championship in March 2017 and ceased operations after the 2020 season. History Previously, northern Nevada has had three other professional minor league soccer teams: Reno Rattlers, Northern Nevada Aces, and Nevada Wonders. Nevertheless, Reno now has a large youth soccer base and growing popularity of the sport. On September 16, 2015, USL announced that they would expand to Reno, Nevada starting in 2017. The club would be owned by Herbert Simon. To generate interest and increased fan involvement with a successful acquisition of a team, the new "USL Reno 2017" team would be named through a contest. The Colorado Rapids are an American professional soccer club based in the Denver metropolitan area. The Rapids compete in Major League Soccer (MLS) as a member of the Western Conference. Thomas Janjigian (born November 10, 1994) is an American soccer player. He is of Armenian descent. Career Amateur and college Janjigian played high school soccer from 2009 to 2011 at Amador Valley High School. He spent four years playing college soccer at UC Irvine between 2013 and 2016, where he scored 3 goals in 74 appearances. Pittsburgh Riverhounds SC is an American professional soccer team based in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Founded in 1999 and beginning play in 1999, the club plays in the Eastern Conference of the USL Championship, the second tier of the American soccer pyramid. Jordan Peter Murrell (born May 2, 1993) is a Canadian professional soccer player. Club career Early career Murrell began playing soccer at age four with Pinnstars FC in London. Murrell spent 2009–2011 with Toronto FC's academy in the Canadian Soccer League. Began his young career in the U16's of the academy before getting promoted to the U18's in 2010. Mackenzie Charles Pridham (born August 13, 1990) is a Canadian soccer player. Career College & Youth Mackenzie Pridham played five years of college soccer at California Polytechnic State University between 2009 and 2013, including a red-shirt year in 2010. At Cal Poly, Pridham was selected as the Big West Conference Offensive Player of the Year in 2012 and 2013.
