The 2018 Qatar Cup, more widely known as the Crown Prince Cup, was the twenty-fourth edition of the Qatar Cup. It was played from April 21–27. Al-Duhail Sports Club ( ar, نادي الدحيل الرياضي), formerly Lekhwiya SC, is a Qatari sports club, best known for its football team, which plays in the Qatar Stars League. The club is based in the Duhail district in the city of Doha and plays its home games at Abdullah bin Khalifa Stadium. It is the first team in Qatari football to win the first division title on its debut season. In April 2017, it was announced that the club would take over El Jaish SC and merge with following the 2016–17 Qatar Stars League and be known as Al-Duhail Sports Club in rebranding of Lekhwiya SC. Rodrigo Barbosa Tabata (born 19 November 1980) or simply Rodrigo Tabata, is a professional footballer who plays as an attacking midfielder for Qatari club Al Sadd. Born in Brazil, he played for the Qatar national team. Club career Career in Brazil Tabata was born in Araçatuba, Brazil. Penalty Shoot-out (association Football)
A penalty shoot-out (officially kicks from the penalty mark) is a tie-breaking method in association football to determine which team is awarded victory in a match that cannot end in a draw, when the score is tied after the normal time as well as extra time (if used) have expired. In a penalty shoot-out, each team takes turns shooting at goal from the penalty mark, with the goal defended only by the opposing team's goalkeeper. Each team has five shots which must be taken by different kickers; the team that makes more successful kicks is declared the victor. Shoot-outs finish as soon as one team has an insurmountable lead. If scores are level after five pairs of shots, the shootout progresses into additional " sudden-death" rounds. Balls successfully kicked into the goal during a shoot-out do not count as goals for the individual kickers or the team, and are tallied separately from the goals scored during normal play (including extra time, if any). Hassan Khalid Hassan Al-Haydos ( ar, حسن خالد حسن الهيدوس; born 11 December 1990) is a Qatari professional footballer who plays as a forward for Qatar Stars League club Al Sadd and the Qatar national team. Club career Al-Haydos started playing football for Al Sadd at the age of eight, advancing through the ranks until he reached the first team at age seventeen. Abdullah Bin Khalifa Stadium
The Abdullah bin Khalifa Stadium, formerly known as Duhail Stadium, is a football stadium in Doha, Qatar. History The construction of the stadium was set in 2011 and completed by February 2013. The first phase was completed in May 2012. Mehdi Taremi ( fa, مهدی طارمی; born 18 July 1992) is an Iranian professional footballer who plays as a striker for Primeira Liga club Porto and the Iran national team. Youssef El-Arabi (; born 3 February 1987) is a professional footballer who plays as a striker for Greek Super League club Olympiacos and the Morocco national team.
