2018 Paf Masters Tour
The 2018 Paf Masters, Paf Masters Tour was held October 18 to 21, 2018 at the Vianor Curling Center in Eckerö, Åland, Finland as a part of the 2018–19 curling season. The event was held in a Round-robin tournament, round robin format with six teams advancing to the playoffs. The purse for the event was Euro, € 18,000. In the final, Team Isabella Wranå of Sweden capped off a perfect 6–0 tournament by defeating the previously undefeated Sayaka Yoshimura rink from Japan 5–3 in the final. In the third place game, Tova Sundberg, also of Sweden, doubled up on Aline Fellmann of Switzerland 6–3. To reach the final, Wranå defeated Fellmann 6–4 in one semifinal and Yoshimura beat Sundberg 7–3 in the other. Maija Salmiovirta
Maija Salmiovirta (born January 11, 1982 in Helsinki) is a Finnish curler. She currently plays second for Oona Kauste. Salmiovirta started curling in 2008 and immediately joined the Bettina Mandelin team at lead, finishing 7th in the 2009 Finnish Women's Curling Championship, the next year they would finish fifth. In 2010, she joined the Ellen Vogt rink as her lead, winning a silver medal at the 2011 Finnish championship. The team would play in three World Curling Tour events that season as well. With Vogt, Salmiovirta won bronze medal at the 2012 Finnish championship and a silver in 2013. Salmiovirta would play as the alternate for the Finnish national team, skipped by Sanna Puustinen at the 2013 European Curling Championships. Oona Kauste
Oona Kauste (born 4 January 1988, in Espoo) is a Finnish curler from Helsinki. She is currently the skip of the Finnish National Women's team. Career Women's Kauste has represented Finland in seven European Curling Championships. She was an alternate at her first European Championships in 2009. The team, skipped by Ellen Vogt placed 8th.
