2018 NWHL Draft
The 2018 NWHL Draft took place on the 19th and 20 December 2018, the first and only draft in NWHL history to happen while the season was underway. The expansion Minnesota Whitecaps would take part in the draft for the first time. A total of 30 players were drafted, of which twenty were American, four were Canadian, and one was Swedish. Four players were drafted from Boston College, along with three each from Merrimack College, Colgate University, and the University of Wisconsin–Madison. Megan Keller (born May 1, 1996) is an American professional ice hockey player for PWHL Boston of the Professional Women's Hockey League (PWHL). She is also a member of the United States women's national ice hockey team. Clarkson Golden Knights Women's Ice Hockey
The Clarkson Golden Knights women's hockey team is an NCAA Division I ice hockey team that represents Clarkson University in rural Potsdam, New York. The Golden Knights have been a member of ECAC Hockey since 2004, and play home games in Cheel Arena on the Clarkson University campus. Loren Gabel
Loren Gabel (born July 24, 1997) is a Canadian women's ice hockey player, formerly of the Clarkson Golden Knights. She made her debut for the Canada women's national ice hockey team at the 2018 4 Nations Cup. She won the Patty Kazmaier Award in 2019. Makenna Newkirk is an assistant D-1 women's hockey coach at Penn State University. Her additional coaching experience includes time with the North American Hockey Academy at the U16 and U19 levels, a season coaching at the Milton Academy in 2019-20, and a season coaching at Brown University in 2021-22. RIT Tigers Women's Ice Hockey
The RIT Tigers women's ice hockey team is one of two hockey teams representing Rochester Institute of Technology in suburban Rochester, New York. The team moved to NCAA Division I women's ice hockey as a member of College Hockey America after many years at Division III as part of the ECAC West conference. The Bruce B. Kendall Cornine (born December 17, 1996) is an American ice hockey forward, currently playing in the Premier Hockey Federation (PHF) with the Metropolitan Riveters. Playing career Cornine graduated from Morristown–Beard School, a private secondary school in Morris County, New Jersey, where she set the school's career scoring record with 199 points (104 goals + 95 assists) in just 74 games. As a senior, she also played with the East Coast Wizards U19 team of the Eastern Women's Hockey Conference (EWHC). The Boston Pride are a professional women's ice hockey team based in Boston, Massachusetts. Kali Flanagan
Kali Dora Flanagan (born September 19, 1995) is an American ice hockey player for the American national team and the Boston Pride of the PHF. She also serves as an assistant coach for the Northern Cyclones, the first female coach in USPHL history. Career Flanagan was originally a figure skater before switching to hockey. In high school, she served as captain for the girls hockey team at the National Sports Academy (Lake Placid, New York). Across 157 games in the NCAA, she put up 72 points. Minnesota Golden Gophers Women's Ice Hockey
The Minnesota Golden Gophers women's ice hockey team plays for the University of Minnesota at the Twin Cities campus in Minneapolis. The team is one of the members of the Western Collegiate Hockey Association (WCHA) and competes in the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) in Division I. The Golden Gophers have won six NCAA Championships as well as the final American Women's College Hockey Alliance Championship.
