2018 Milan–San Remo
The 2018 Milan–San Remo (known as Milano-Sanremo presented by NAMEDSPORT> for sponsorship reasons) was a road cycling one-day race that took place on 17 March 2018 in Italy. It was the 109th edition of the Milan–San Remo and the eighth event of the 2018 UCI World Tour. The race was won by Vincenzo Nibali from the team, becoming the first Italian rider since Filippo Pozzato in 2006 to win ''La Classicissima''. Nibali had attacked on the Poggio di San Remo, and managed to hold off the sprinters in the closing stages to seal victory. Caleb Ewan () led the sprinters home in second ahead of 's Arnaud Démare, the 2016 winner. Teams As Milan–San Remo was a UCI World Tour event, all eighteen UCI WorldTeams were invited automatically and obliged to enter a team in the race. 2018 UCI World Tour
The 2018 UCI World Tour was a competition that included thirty-seven road cycling events throughout the 2018 men's cycling season. It was the tenth and final edition of the ranking system launched by the Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI) in 2009. The competition began with the opening stage of the Tour Down Under on 16 January and concluded with the final stage of the Tour of Guangxi on 21 October. Belgium's Greg Van Avermaet was the defending champion. 2018 Paris–Nice
The 2018 Paris–Nice was a road cycling stage race that took place between 4 and 11 March 2018 in France. It was the 76th edition of the Paris–Nice and the sixth event of the 2018 UCI World Tour. The race was won on the final day by the 's Marc Soler from Spain. Having started the final stage 37 seconds down on race leader Simon Yates () in sixth place overall, Soler attacked around halfway into the stage along with compatriot David de la Cruz (); the duo joined Omar Fraile () at the head of the race, and the trio managed to stay clear of the rest of the field by the time they reached Nice. Alexander Kristoff
Alexander Kristoff (born 5 July 1987) is a Norwegian professional road bicycle racer, who currently rides for UCI WorldTeam . He won the Norwegian National Road Race Championships in 2007 and 2011. His biggest victories have been the 2014 Milan–San Remo and the 2015 Tour of Flanders among many other successes. Career Early career At six, he moved from Oslo to Stavanger. The 2014 Milan–San Remo was the 105th running of the Milan–San Remo single-day monument classic cycling race. It was held on Sunday 23 March over a distance of and was the fourth race of the 2014 UCI World Tour season. It was won in the sprint by Alexander Kristoff, ahead of Fabian Cancellara and Ben Swift. Route and pre-race favourites Race organisers initially introduced major changes to the route for the 2014 edition of the race, with the new Pompeiana climb being introduced between the existing Cipressa and Poggio climbs in the climax of the race, although the earlier climb of Le Mànie was taken out. Michał Kwiatkowski ( , born 2 June 1990) is a Polish professional road bicycle racer, who currently rides for UCI WorldTeam . Kwiatkowski is seen as a strong all rounder, with good sprinting, time-trialling and climbing abilities allowing him to win both stage races and one day classics. The 2018 Tirreno–Adriatico NAMEDSPORT was a road bicycle racing, road cycling cycling stage race, stage race that took place between 7 and 13 March 2018 in Italy.
