2018 Maharashtra Open
The 2018 Maharashtra Open , Tata Open Maharashtra was a 2018 ATP World Tour tennis tournament played on outdoor hard courts. It was the 23rd edition of the only ATP tournament played in India and took place in Pune, India, from 1 January through 6 January 2018. It was the first edition of the tournament to be held after it was moved from Chennai to Pune. Hardcourt
A hardcourt (or hard court) is a surface or floor on which a sport is played, most usually in reference to tennis courts. It is typically made of rigid materials such as asphalt or concrete, and covered with acrylic resins to seal the surface and mark the playing lines, while providing some cushioning. Historically, hardwood surfaces were also in use in indoor settings, similar to an indoor basketball court, but these surfaces are rare now. Tennis Tennis hard courts are made of synthetic/acrylic layers on top of a concrete or asphalt foundation and can vary in color. These courts tend to play medium-fast to fast because there is little energy absorption by the court, as with grass courts but unlike clay courts. Arjun Kadhe ( mar, अर्जुन कढे; born 7 January 1994) is an Indian tennis player. Kadhe has a career high ATP singles ranking of 328 achieved on 27 August 2018. He also has a career high ATP doubles ranking of 133 achieved on 26 September 2022. Kadhe has won 4 ITF Futures singles title. He has also won 3 challenger and 7 ITF Futures doubles titles. Yuki Bhambri (born 4 July 1992) is an Indian professional tennis player. He is a former junior no. 1 and winner of the 2009 Australian Open Junior Championship. Sumit Nagal (born 16 August 1997) is an Indian professional tennis player. He won the 2015 Wimbledon boys' doubles title with his Vietnamese partner Lý Hoàng Nam, thus becoming the sixth Indian player to win a junior Grand Slam title.
