The 2018 Formula 4 South East Asia Championship season was the third season of the Formula 4 South East Asia Championship. It began on 7 July at the Sepang International Circuit and finished on 1 December at the same venue. Drivers The provisional driver entry list was released on 27 April 2018. Calendar The calendar for the 2018 season expanded upon the previous season. The Clark International Speedway round in the Philippines was discontinued and replaced with the Madras Motor Race Track in Chennai, India. Championship standings The series follows the standard F1 points scoring system with the addition of 1 point for fastest lap and 3 points for pole. The best 18 results out of 24 races counted towards the championship. The fastest qualifying laps determine the grid positions for race 1. Formula 4 South East Asia Championship
The Formula 4 South East Asia Championship was a formula racing series run to FIA Formula 4 regulations. The inaugural season was held over 2016 and 2017 and the last one was held in 2019. History Gerhard Berger and the FIA Singleseater Commission launched Formula 4 in March 2013. The goal of the Formula 4 was to make the ladder to Formula 1 more transparent. Besides sporting and technical regulations, costs are also regulated. A car to compete in this category may not exceed €30,000 and a single season in Formula 4 may not exceed €100,000. The Sepang 1000 km Endurance Race is a endurance racing event held annually since 2009 at the Sepang International Circuit in December. The race was created out of the success of the 12-hour Malaysia Merdeka Endurance Race, but unlike the MMER is a touring car race and is limited to cars with an engine capacity of under . Chang International Circuit
The Buriram International Circuit (known as Chang International Circuit (ช้าง อินเตอร์เนชั่นแนล เซอร์กิต) for commercial purposes, but listed by its non-commercial name because of alcohol restrictions in some countries) is a motorsport race track in Buriram, Buriram Province, Thailand. The 2018 F3 Asian Championship was a multi-event, Formula 3 open-wheel single seater motor racing championship held across Asia. The championship features a mix of professional and amateur drivers, competing in Formula 3 cars that conform to the FIA Formula 3 regulations for the championship. This is the inaugural season of the championship. The Sepang International Circuit ( ms, Litar Antarabangsa Sepang) is a motorsport race track in Sepang, Selangor, Malaysia.
