2018 European Women's Handball Championship Squads
The following is a list of squads for each nation competing at the 2018 European Women's Handball Championship. On 29 October 2018 every coach had to submit a list of a maximum of 28 players, whom which 16 were selected for the final tournament. Up to six replacements were granted during the tournament. The final squads were released on 28, 29, and 30 November 2018. ''Age, caps and goals correct as of 29 November 2018.'' Group A Denmark The first 14 players were announced on 8 November 2018. Three players were added on 14 and 17 November 2018. On 30 November, Mathilde Hylleberg was cut from the squad, but was added back on 2 December. However, the next day Line Haugsted replaced her. 2018 European Women's Handball Championship
The 2018 European Women's Handball Championship was held in France in from 29 November to 16 December 2018. It was the first time France hosts the women's tournament. The matches were played in Brest, Montbéliard, Nancy, Nantes and Paris. France defeated Russia in the final to claim their first title. Venues Qualification Qualified teams All 16 qualified teams took part in the previous 2016 championship. Note: Bold indicates champion for that year. ''Italic'' indicates host for that year. Althea Rebecca Reinhardt (born 1 September 1996) is a Danish handball player for Odense Håndbold and the Danish national team. She signed for Odense in 2016, after starting the career at Nykøbing Falster Håndboldklub Nykøbing Falster Håndboldklub (Nykøbing Falster Handball Club) is a Danish handball club from Nykøbing Falster. Mie Højlund
Mie Enggrob Højlund (born 24 October 1997) is a Danish handball player for Odense Håndbold and the Danish national team. Højlund can play both right back and left back, but has said publicly, that she prefers the left back position. Club Career Højlund played on the Randers HK youth teams, and in 2014 she became a part of the senior team. She scored a total of 30 goals in her debut season. In the first years she was the back up to national team player Jane Schumacher. In the fall of 2016 she became the first choice on the playmaker position. That season Randers HK won the Danish Women's Handball Cup with a surprise win over FC Midtjylland Håndbold. She ended the season as the second top scorer in the league with 89 goals. Stine Jørgensen
Stine Østergaard Jørgensen (born 3 September 1990) is a Danish handball player for København Håndbold. She was the team captain of the national team and participated at the 2011 World Women's Handball Championship in Brazil. In May 2020, she announced her retirement from the Danish national team. TTH Holstebro is a men's handball club from Holstebro, Denmark. The team is playing in the Danish Primo Tours Ligaen and play their home matches in Gråkjær Arena. History The club was founded in May 2000, when Holstebro Håndbold 90 and Tvis KFUM merged their first teams to create the new club.
