The Men's 2018 European Union Amateur Boxing Championships was held in Valladolid, Spain from 8 to 19 November. Valladolid
Valladolid () is a Municipalities of Spain, municipality in Spain and the primary seat of government and de facto capital of the Autonomous communities of Spain, autonomous community of Castile and León. Andrej Csemez ( hu, Csemez András; born 6 May 1998) is a Slovak amateur boxer who fights out of KO Box Club Galanta. He is a member of the Hungarian community in Slovakia. Andrej won a bronze medal at the 2019 European Games and a gold at the 2018 European Union Championships, both at middleweight. In addition, he competed at two World Championships in 2017 and 2019. Amateur career Csemez started boxing at the age of 12 when a boxing gym, KO Box Club, was opened up in Galanta near his village by legendary boxer and former world lightweight title challenger Tomáš Kovács. Kieran Molloy is an Irish professional boxer. As an amateur, he won a bronze medal at the 2018 EU Championships. Professional career On December 16, 2021, Molloy signed a contract with promotional companies Top Rank and Conlan Boxing. He made his professional debut on February 26, 2022, at the OVO Hydro in Glasgow, fighting on the undercard of Josh Taylor vs. Jack Catterall against Damian Esquisabel. Molloy won via technical knockout in the second round. He was scheduled to fight Johnathan Ryan Burrs on the undercard of Artur Beterbiev vs. Joe Smith Jr. on June 18, 2022.
