The 2018 ASEAN Basketball League (ABL) Finals was the best-of-5 championship series of the 2017–18 ABL season and the conclusion of the season's playoffs. Mono Vampire and San Miguel Alab Pilipinas competed for the 8th championship contested by the league. After a decider Game 5, San Miguel Alab Pilipinas eventually clinched the club's first franchise championship in its history, and the third ABL Championship that came from the Philippines. Bobby Ray Parks Jr. was named as the Finals MVP after averaging 23 points per game in the finals series. San Miguel Alab Pilipinas (under the corporate name Pilipinas Basketball Club, Inc. or PBCI) is a Filipino professional basketball team which played in the ASEAN Basketball League (ABL) under the sponsorship of San Miguel Corporation. The team is owned and managed by the sports talent management firm, Virtual Playground, headed by talent agents Dondon Monteverde and Charlie Dy. Alab Pilipinas is the fourth Philippine team to play in the ABL. "Alab" is a Filipino word that translates as "blaze" in English. Jason Brickman
Jason Alexander Brickman (born November 19, 1991) is a Filipino-American basketball player for the Kaohsiung Aquas of the T1 League. He completed his college career for the Long Island University Blackbirds after the 2013–14 season. Brickman was considered one of the best passers in the nation according to ESPN analyst Jay Bilas. Of Brickman, Bilas said "He really understands angles very well. He gets the ball to (LIU's) best players, and he does a really nice job of managing the game. An excellent passer." Baliwag or Baliuag, officially the City of Baliwag ( fil, Lungsod ng Baliwag), is a component city in the province of Bulacan, Philippines.
