The 2017–18 in Scottish football, 2017–18 season was Motherwell F.C., Motherwell's thirty-third consecutive season in the top flight of Scottish football and the fifth in the newly established Scottish Premiership, having been promoted from the Scottish First Division at the end of the 1984–85 Scottish First Division, 1984–85 season. Motherwell F
Motherwell ( sco, Mitherwall, gd, Tobar na Màthar) is a town and former burgh in North Lanarkshire, Scotland, United Kingdom, south east of Glasgow. It has a population of around 32,120. Historically in the parish of Dalziel and part of Lanarkshire, Motherwell is the headquarters for North Lanarkshire Council. Geographically the River Clyde separates Motherwell from Hamilton to the west whereas the South Calder Water separates Motherwell from Carfin to the north-east and New Stevenston and Bellshill towards the north. Motherwell is also geographically attached to Wishaw and the two towns form a large urban area in North Lanarkshire, with both towns having similar populations and strong community ties. Cédric Julia wise Kipré (born 9 December 1996) is a professional footballer who plays as a defender for club West Bromwich Albion. Born in France, he plays for the Ivory Coast national team internationally. Club career Leicester City After coming through the Youth Academy at Paris Saint-Germain, Kipré joined Leicester City in 2014 and was part of both their Under 18s and Under 21s in his debut season for the club, playing in the then Premier League 2 and FA Youth Cup. Oldham is a large town in Greater Manchester, England, amid the Pennines and between the rivers Irk and Medlock, southeast of Rochdale and northeast of Manchester. Charles Dunne (born 13 February 1993) is a professional footballer who plays as a defender for St Mirren. He has previously played for Wycombe Wanderers, Staines Town, Blackpool, Crawley Town, Oldham Athletic and Motherwell. Keith William Robert Lasley (born 21 September 1979) is a Scottish retired football midfielder, who is currently the Chief Operating Officer of Scottish Premiership club St Mirren. During his playing career, Lasley played for Motherwell, Plymouth Argyle and Blackpool. Life and career According to '' Daily Record'' article, Lasley was born in Paisley, Scotland. However, the official Motherwell site lists his birthplace as Glasgow. He joined Motherwell in 1999 from Paisley side Gleniffer Thistle, but had to wait 18 months to make his first team debut. Trevor Carson (born 5 March 1988) is a Northern Irish professional footballer who plays as a goalkeeper for Scottish Premiership club Dundee. Born in Killyleagh, Northern Ireland, Carson started his youth career with Killyleagh Boys before moving to Sunderland in 2004. He signed his first professional contract with Sunderland in 2006 before several loan spells at Chesterfield, Lincoln City, Brentford, Bury and Hull City.
