2017–18 Macedonian First Football League
The 2017–18 Macedonian First League was the 26th season of the Macedonian First Football League, the highest football league of Macedonia. The fixtures were announced on 25 July 2017. It began on 12 August 2017 and ended on 20 May 2018. Each team will play the other sides four times on home-away basis, for a total of 36 matches. Vardar are the defending champions, having won their tenth title in 2016–17. KF Shkëndija
Klubi i Futbollit Shkëndija () commonly known as Shkëndija, is a football club based in Tetovo, North Macedonia. Their home stadium is Ecolog Arena and they currently play in the Macedonian First League. In the 2010–11 season of the Macedonian First Football League, the club won its first major championship. History SFRY Period KF Shkëndija was formed on 27 August 1979 by ethnic Albanians from Tetovo. The purpose of forming the club was so that the Albanians throughout Yugoslavia could unite in supporting a club for Albanians. FK Shkëndija was frowned upon by Yugoslav officials as it was thought the club would awaken nationalist feelings among the Albanians of Yugoslavia. Petar Miloševski Stadium () is a football stadium in Bitola, North Macedonia and the home of FK Pelister. The stadium is divided into two stands: North, which consists of 2,500 seats among which is the press box along with the team pads, and the South, which consists mainly of the Pelister supporters and seats about 5,000. Stadion Blagoj Istatov
Blagoj Istatov Stadium is a football stadium in Strumica, North Macedonia. With the last reconstruction in 2017 the stadium has a capacity of 9,200 seats, and it is a third-class field in accordance with UEFA standards. It meets the conditions for a high-ranking competition and is the second such stadium in the country, after the Toše Proeski Arena in Skopje. FK Pobeda (2010)
FK Pobeda AD Prilep ( mk, ФК Победа АД Прилеп) is a football club based in the city of Prilep, North Macedonia. They are currently competing in the Macedonian First League. History The club was founded in 2010 as Viktorija (eventually renaming to Pobeda Junior) after the FK Pobeda was banned by FIFA for eight years. Legally, the two clubs' track records and honors are kept separate by the Football Federation of Macedonia. In 2015, Pobeda Junior was renamed to match the name of the old club that was suspended, Pobeda. FK Bregalnica Štip ( mk, ФК Брегалница Штип) is a football club based in Štip, North Macedonia. They are currently competing in the Macedonian First League.
